January 26th, 2018 5-Night Bahamian on Magic

ALERT!!!!!

Two Serenity Bay Cabanas came available (nothing on the Family Beach at this time).

$428.93 (up to 4 Guests); $53.75 (each additional Guest, up to 10)
Fantastic find! Still showing available so anybody interested should jump on them quickly. @Amym2696 was asking back in March, she hasn't been on in a while but if she checks in I wanted to make sure to tag her.

Not sure if anyone is interested - we have a family cabana (#7) for the day. Were thinking of giving it up or doing a family share? If interested just DM me - we are flexible....we can share all day or split morning/afternoon if preferred. :) See you all soon!!!!!!

This will be my 5th Disney cruise, second time on the Magic, but FIRST disney cruise for my 15 mo old daughter! ❤ Couple questions for you experienced family cruisers:

1. I know personal floaties and pool rings, etc are not allowed. However, my infant daughter would love to swim at Castaway in our "my baby float" ring since she cannot swim yet and this is safe. Can I bring this to Castaway and blow up on the beach without trouble? She would obviously be held and supervised still.

2. Are highchairs available at Cabanas for breakfast or am I better off at the formal restaurant breakfast?

3. Anyone know if Tangled show will be performed on our cruise? I loved it and hope to see it again with my little.

Thank you and see you all next week for some sun!! Chicago is cooooold!

Welcome to Disboards and the group Stanggrrl66!

Having not been on the Magic in nearly 14 years I can't help with 2. Regarding #1 though, that is on the forbidden item list:
Kites, balloons, surfboards, wave boards, inflatable floats, pool noodles, inflatable pools and wagons
Being a bright yellow inflatable float the life guards will probably see it as soon as she hits the water. I wouldn't spend the time and effort inflating it just to have it confiscated. I think they might have float vests available on the family beach though, similar to the kind they have by the pools on the ship.

I have seen recently though that Tangled is still playing on the Magic and I'm quite excited. I rather enjoyed that movie and feel it is a very underrated gem. Really looking forward to having a drink at the Snugly Duckling.

Oh yeah, and hey everyone... SINGLE DIGITS!!! :D

How many people comfortably occupy a cabana? I've never been inside but they look relaxing!

It is my understanding that 8 fit comfortably? Does anyone with experience know? I know the price is for 6 people and then there is a charge for the extra 2 people (if going to 8). If you are interested feel free to DM me and we can chat :)

Hi everyone :) haven't been on the boards in a while. But I'm back and cruising with you all and hope to get a chance to meet up with everyone at the end of next week!

Welcome to the group PyxiiDustt! Glad to have you come back and join us :)

It's been 447 days since starting this thread. And now, it is only 7 until the trip. We just watched the Magic leave Nassau on the port webcam. The next time she returns there we will all be on board. We plan to watch it leave Miami on Sunday with our DD so we can say "Bye, we will see you when you get back!" This weekend I have to go buy a new shirt, we have decided to take the option of optional dress up night and I need a new shirt for my suit. My brother though, found out last week he is renting a tuxedo. All I have to say about that is he better get some character pictures out of it!

So much work to do over the next week to get ready, and I couldn't be happier :woohoo:

T minus one night! We're about 40 thousand feet above Savannah right now and ready to be on vacation.

Safe travels, everyone (if you're not already in Miami).

We are watching Funnelvision from our hotel room :D

Safe travels everyone!

Want to throw one last Thank You to everyone who participated in this thread. Especially want to recognize crowls and mimi2ty for organizing the FE group, and adamki for being our seasoned guide and helping keep us in the loop during the Check-In process. We couldn't have asked for much better weather, Darren really seemed adamant that Sunday was the best weather they have had all month and I can't disagree. Our daughter said it was more fun than Disney World  Not sure I agree with her, but I am somewhat regretting not picking up a placeholder. We don't plan to go again in the next 2 years, but I'm not as sure about that as I was before we left. The interaction with characters and crew is just so much different than on land. Being able to step outside on deck 4 and run in to Chip and Dale in their tuxedos was an experience (did anybody else see Dale accidentally tear down the curtain by the DVC desk?). I will admit that our last DCL cruise did not go so well, there is a reason it took us 14 years to go again, but it was because of what we did and how we spent it. It was a totally different situation this time and I'm looking forward to going back.

Hope everyone got home safely and had a great trip. I have really enjoyed being a part of this group.
