What are yiur opinions of these restaurants? Is there any I should swap out or move to breakfast or dinner? We have a 5 year old boy who loves characters(non face characters) so I know I have a lot of character meals but I’m trying to take advantage of him living the characters before he gets older and doesn’t care as much :)

I have never been to T rex, We found chef mickey's to be very loud and bustling, but, the characters were good.
Tusker House breakfast is my favourite character meal. I reckon you'll have a great time.

We used to do Chef Mickey breakfast every year and loved the character interactions, but not so much the food, but we went anyway to meet the big 5. We now go to Garden Grill every year, again for breakfast, and love that one, it's nice not to have to go to the buffet and have the food brought to you, it avoids all the 'have I got time before the next character arrives?'. Personally we didn't have a great experience at Tusker House so haven't returned but it might have just been an off day (characters were really not interested in the children). We have done BOG dinner a few times and it was well worth it to meet the beast IMHO. We always asked for a table in the West Wing.

Our personal favourite was always Crystal Palace but sadly he grew out of it, so now it's Garden Grill and 1900 Park Fare breakfast (to meet the Mad Hatter).

Chef Mickey doesn't get very good reviews for the food, but sometimes there is compromise if you want your kid to see certain characters. If it is at MK Crystal Palace is an option for Pooh, Tigger etc. You will already be meeting Mickey at Tusker. Otherwise i think you have a good selection.

The one concern I might have is how Mickey-heavy you are, but maybe that's not an issue.

Depending on the time of year you are going and your looking for characters you might want to try Hollywood and Vine instead of 50's. Characters are dressed differently depending on the time of year.

TRex is very loud, so loud we couldn’t really have a conversation. Food is like any chain restaurant.

We don’t care for the food at CM. Character interaction is usually good.

Breakfast was fun at GG. I haven’t done lunch there.

We didn’t care for the food at BOG. It’s not a character meal per se. You can seek out Beast if he is there.

We haven’t eaten at the other restaurants.

Have you considered Ohana for dinner instead of Chef Mickey? That is a favorite of ours, though if you're looking for the characters, that won't work.

I agree with @hllb and suggest Ohana for dinner. Our favorite! Especially if you have some big time meat eaters in your crew.

We love t-rex, we have been on our last two trips and are going again on our upcoming spring trip. It is a little loud, but the food is good, the service is great and so much fun especially if you have a dinosaur obsessed little boy :)
We have done garden grill for dinner, the food is delicious. I also like that it is family style so you don't have to get up and fix your own plate.

We love TH breakfast and BOG dinner. 50’s PTC is one of our favorites.
