How to Book 8 nights at 11 month window

We are looking to book an 8 night trip next fall once our 11 month window opens. I believe I saw that when the window opens, you can only book 7 nights. What is the best way to handle this? Book the 7 nights, then book the 8th night once the window for that night opens? Then call CM to combine the reservation, assuming it's the same type of room? Is there something I'm missing, or a better way to handle it? I'm still such a rookie and while I've already booked a couple of stays, none of them went beyond 7 nights. Thanks!

Book the 7 nights online when the window opens and then call Member Services the next day to extend by one night.

Is there a risk that the room you’re booking will disappear within 24 hours? You could just wait until the next day to book all 8 days at once.

Yup, this is the way to do it for a fall date. Actually, just call in the next 6 days after the original booking to add the 8th day, but if it's just one extra day, I would do it the next day.

Not worth the risk with a fall date...though I agree depending on the location you could maybe wait a day, but I would always choose the first option for the 100% guarantee.

My concern is availability with it being fall. The tentative dates also span part of Jersey Week (though we are debating changing the dates since I keep hearing Jersey week is a crush). It just seems like the fall has become insanely busy this year and booking seems to be more of a challenge. But I will book the 7 days online when the window opens and call for the 8th the very next day.
