Ray Donovan

Fantastic show! Was surprised about the "death" of a key character this season. This series is almost as good as The Sopranos. :)

Bunchy's been through a lot in life, not the least of which is being called "Bunchy!" What is that?

We watch. DH has been having a tough time tracking what all is going on this season with the jumps back and forth in time.

We've watched it since the beginning. I'm not enjoying it as much this season as it seems too, too depressing. Everyone loses loved ones, but SPOILER I'm mad at Abby that she wouldn't follow her doctor's instructions and succumbed to her illness. I know all too well that treatment doesn't always work, but at least try. Anyway, they're obviously dragging this on all season. Just goes to show that when you die on a TV show, you are never really dead and gone.

I'm curious to learn more about Ray's attempt to save Abby. Looks like he was able to do it but Bridget stopped it somehow.

We have watched from the start and agree with others that this season seems to be dragging. My favorite character is Mickey because I think Jon Voight does an amazing job. I do disagree with their Boston accents sometimes and how they pronounce their last name though...lol!

Jon Voight is da man!!

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I am having a hard with C. Thomas Howell (who is playing the anger management counselor) looking so dang old! (It actually took me a long time to even recognize him with that huge white beard.) The weekend before last, we saw the Fathom Events re-release of E.T., and I pointed out to DH that one of the older brother's friends is a midteens C. Thomas Howell, someone who couldn't possibly be 60 today like my husband thought the guy in the counselor role was.

My daughter's favorite movie is The Outsiders.....I did not recognize him at all on Ray Donovan. I struggled recognizing him in other shows he has been in over the last few years...if he has aged I guess that means I have too!

After this week's episode I think the season is going to get more exciting.

With the exception of the starlet in trouble, I've liked this season's story lines more than any other season. I like the depth of the character exposition. They all just seem so much more human this season.

SPOILER. I'm looking forward to seeing how Ray deals with the info that Terry, not Bridget, helped Abby die. Will Bridget and Ray finally have a decent relationship?

I've not read any comments as there was no disclaimer regarding spoilers :-)

DH and I love Ray - I've not gotten caught up on the current season but wanted to Jump in and say I love the show.

The thing is that Bridget, at the very least, knew about it and didn't reveal the information to Ray. So basically it seems like everyone conspired against Ray despite the fact that whenever someone is in trouble, who do they go running to to fix their problems? And now, since the asian lady (forgot her name) survived after receiving the treatment, that probably (not definitively) means that Abby would have survived. I'm not really sure that is something Ray will be able to get over.
