I was hoping just to get it for fop for myself I don't mind waiting but I am afraid if I wait in line and see others exit I will ask my self am I in the right line I won't have my family with me to reassure me I am in the right line and I will miss out I understand my anxiety my problem but I can and will stand in line the rest of the day

Although my understanding is if I get there at rope drop this will be moot point

Never mind I know my self too well I won't be brace enough to ask I well just make sure I am there at rope drop so I don't have to worry about the above

Get a FP or use a DAS. There were extra magic hours this morning at AK and when I checked at 8:30 (1/2 an hour into magic hours and 1/2 hour before the non-resort peons could get in) the wait was already 150 minutes. I fear rope drop may not help too much unless you are among the first 50-100 people in.

I take the bus all the time at Disney and I make it well before RD every day, you will have no problem as long as you are up and ready to go to make RD each day, I thought I read in another thread that you did not want to do FOP?

Also, it will be obvious you are in the right line or you can just ask someone around you, There are only two rides in Pandora so the chance you are in the wrong one is slim. ( the FOP is under the floating mountain and CM will be saying this is the line for FOP.) the line itself is very long with a lot of things to look at and see, it starts outside under the floating mountains with a waterfall, then you go inside a cave-like things with handprints on the wall, and also you go in the room with the avatar that is floating, ( note I have not done standby since the AP prevues since I cannot handle standby lines) you can youtube the standby line and watch this and get an idea of what the line is like so you can then know you are in the right line, but if you can get there about an hour before RD you should not have that long of a wait.

here is a video of what the RD is like ( by the time you go it might not be this crowded, )

but at the end, you can hear the CM telling people where to go for each ride.

I am on the fence which I hope leads me to my explanation I am afraid if I see someone chicken out I will fallow suit and I don't want to miss out because I had time to talk myself out of trying I would rather give myself less opportunity to chicken out

I really do not think a lot will chicken out and you have just enough chanch of someone cheken out even if you have a DAS or FP. if someone does you can just tell your self they had to go use the bathroom

here is another good video he did do this opening weekend and you should be fine to take Disney bus even though he said you should not, ( again this was opening weekend) and most of the video is the line for FOP.

EMH is 8 am Disney bus start running at 6:30 am you should be able to get to AK by 7-7:15 ( and maybe much earlier than this) and you should be fine.

You are thinking too much into this, go have fun.

I'm not entirely sure that I'm understanding everything here.

Are you having fears of asking for a DAS?

Will your family be with you? If so, they will be in the same line with you when using your DAS. You will not be alone.

When is your trip?

Not for reale drop they are joining me later and yes I was afraid of being rejected

So you are afraid of asking for a DAS and being told no.

only you can decide this ( and I have no idea what your needs/ disability is beside you second guess everything and this is not something you would need a DAS for.

but the worst that will happen is you will be told no. If being told no is too much for you then I would go in GR and say I have some question on how to best do Disney tell them your concerns worries whatever and ask them for a suggestion, they may have a few options for you one might be a DAS, or something different. this why you do not have to worry about being rejected ( told no)

I like how they give other solutions vrs just a flat out no I just thought if I can go through the fastpass line the first time and by pass others chickening out and the bouns of missing the preshow it would be easier on me

But I see how my plan is flowed

sorry to tell you but you still do the preshow even with an FP.

and I really would not worry about other chickening out, most ( if not close to all ) people that chicken out do so right before the ride so it will be long after the FP stand by merge and most that leave the ride do so because they physically do not fit the ride itself, not because they do not want to ride this ride. and this ride really is not that scary at all.

OP- How many other rides have you chickened out of? Why do you think you would want to leave the line for FOP?

Exactly. You just have to be on that early bus.

And since it sounds like you're doing this alone, and have only you to worry about, that's awesome. It's rotten to have to rally the troops.

I am afraid if I see someone chicken out I will fallow suit

Don't pay attention to what others are doing. Yiu will have NO idea what is going on in other peoples' minds IF they leave. Maybe it was never their intention to ride. Maybe they are pregnant (and it wasn't their intention to ride). Maybe they just wanted to see the queue. Maybe they have to pee. Or just got a phone call about a job offer or a sick relative or a baby being born.

If you want to ride, ride. Don't let your perception of what is going on with other people stop you.

And remember that the whole point of cast members being there is to help guests and answer questions. If no one asks them where the line is, they won't have much to do. Use them.

So why are you concerned about one ride if every ride has a chicken exit.

I think she's saying she has psyched herself out of rides before and is worried she'll do the same for this even though she wants to ride it.
