Has anyone had success with eating gluten free to stop painful ibs stomach cramping?

I'm trying it this week, and if it works- that's three years of pain and suffering solved!

If not, have you had anything else help stop your pain?

Thanks!

Well, what sets off your ibs?

I'm one with IBS as well and yes, eating gluten free does help. If you don't mind, are you on any meds for it? If they aren't working, talk to your doctor. There's lots of meds out there.

Hi @mousehockey37 --I'm on Bentyl for it, which ironically seems to do more for my interstitial cystitis than anything else. My doctor believes it's all stress-related; I am an incredibly anxious person. I can't figure out any specific food triggers- just that I seem to be in pain no matter what I eat.:scared: I know gluten can be very inflammatory, so I was gonna give it a shot. I eat a LOT of pasta, toast, crackers, etc.
