Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We have a water view room booked and have it noted that we need adjoining rooms. Each room is for 5 family members, so they will need the pull down beds too. Can you tell me if there are any good location adjoining water view rooms with pull down beds? Thank You!

If you would like rooms that have an interior door that connects them, change your request to "connecting rooms." Adjoining/adjacent rooms are simply rooms beside each other.

Are the rooms booked under 2 different reservation numbers? If so (and if you haven't done so already) I would call and link the reservations. Then in your requests say something like "connecting room with (reservation #), preferably in Martinique or Trinidad North."

This exactly! :thumbsup2

Anyone know what the hours for swimming are at the smaller pools, do they lock the gates? Can you still get in to do laundry?

Officially, the quiet pools close at the same time as the Main Feature Pool. The gates close but are not locked so you will be able to do laundry at any time.

I have a quick question about online check-in. What are your actual options? I stayed at Pop Century last year for my first Disney trip and did the online check-in, but I can't remember what we did! Can I pick Jamaica and close to transportation? We booked a standard free dining room so I'm not expecting anything wonderful, haha, but I get to check-in in a few days and got to wondering exactly what you can do online. Sorry for being a newb, I skimmed here a bit but there's so many threads I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Thanks guys!

Hopefully this will help.

We will be there 9/29-10/2! I don't make room requests (did book preferred though). I have never gotten a bad room or location yet at any resort. Last time we stayed here the bus stop was right at our door! We could wait in room and walk out when it came. That was so convenient! I just love seeing where the Disney Magic places us. Plus never disappointed by not getting requests lol.

I normally don't make requests either but I am needing to this trip. My girls and I are taking my sweet mama this trip (82 yrs young). She will be in a wheelchair to get around the resort and parks so I really need a ground floor room close to a bus stop and hopefully not to far from POR. The only thing available for our dates was standard so I requested ground floor, close to transportation and Martinique or Jamaica on our reservation hoping for something closer to POR.

Oh yes I would definitely request ground floor and the others for mamma. That would be critical. Have a wonderful trip! Maybe we will see you there.

I hope your have a wonderful trip too!
I can't wait to see my mama's face when she sees Disney for the first time! Can't wait to share it with her!:cloud9:

I took my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. They had the best time. I drug my 70ish yr old mom on Tower of Terror. She was so scared but loved the ride. She then drug my 75ish yr old dad on and he loved it too! They were so cute. We couldn't ride together because I had my 5 yr old daughter there for her birthday too. Best trip ever

Bringing my 80 year-old mom in 5 weeks. Unfortunately, we cannot stay this time at CBR and are getting a suite at AoA, but we are eating at Shutters...she loved CBR, but with 4 people going including my Army son, she needed her own space that we could watch over her. But, the wife and I are booked in February again...just us 2.

What an amazing trip for yall!
Mom gets around GREAT to be 82 but I know she won't be able to keep up with us without the wheelchair. We have ruled out ToT, RnR, EE & SM for mom but I think she will be fine on just about everything else. When she sees the drop on Splash Mountain she may back out but that's ok too, she loves to people watch and there are plenty of that to keep her busy.:rotfl:And between the other 4 of us, there will be someone to sit with her while the others ride. BTMR is closed while we are there, as well as Dinosaur :guilty: I am so sad since both of those are 2 of my favorite rides. We got to ride BTMR in Disneyland last year with the new additions they are adding to the one in DW and it is AMAZING!!! Can't wait till next year to be able to ride it again!
This trip is going to be sooo different than our last trip and we are super excited. Normally we are going from rope drop to closing without stopping but with mom we are going to slow down and soak up all the magic! :cloud9:

How fun!!! We don't have a ressie at Shutters but we have heared great things about it and we may have to book it for one of our free evenings. I am booking a bounce back for me and hubby for next year during F&W. Even though neither of us drink, we do love to eat! We have always stayed at POP (except 1 trip in 1991 when we stayed at CBR when it was considered the value resort, before the AStar resorts opened) so this will be a new adventure for us at CBR. Y'all have a fabulous trip!

I see, in your signature, that you have stayed at CBR alot!!!
Which village has been your favorite??? We had to book standard since that was all that was available with Free Dining and we are requesting and hoping to be close to POR.

Jamaica or Trinidad North. Jamaica is great because you can sit in the pool and watch a good portion of the fireworks.

The last time I stayed at CBR the room safes were accessed by a key. Have they been switched to the ones you set your own code or are they still key based? I'm going in September and I'm hoping they are updated.

I think I'm going to book our January stay tonight. I just realized that we're also within our 180 days too so I think I'll be doing dining requests as well lol! I'm so excited to get back to CBR. It's been over 10 years since I've stayed there and my DH has never stayed. He's going to love it though! So excited!!

We will stay at CBR for the first time (first time on property actually) in August, and I would like to know from people that are familiar with the resort: Is there possibly any village or building that is breezier, or has a breeze (is more wind exposed)? I'm looking for an "airy" building. I get claustrophobic in dense foliage, and I dislike insects (they usually don't hang around in a breeze). I apologize that this may be a weird/silly question...but just have to ask, if any of you can make any recommendations for room requests! We have a standard room booked presently. Thanks so much! :)
