F & W Question

Hello everyone,

I just got through looking at the wonderful pictures that were put up from this years F & W fest. Yes, they made me hungry too. ;)

I did notice that some of the items had the DDP logo next to them. Which is good for me since I have all those wonderful snack credits to use when I go. What I also noticed is that those DDP logo's were next to things that were more than the standard 4.00 cut off for snacks credit usage.

So, my question is, for anyone that might know (or have already used them at the F&W fest) is....

Are the items that are over 4.00 at the F & W fest vendors with a DDP listing still considered a snack credit?

It just seemed odd to me to see some of the food items (anywhere from 4.25 - 7.25 on the menu's) showing a DDP logo.

Thanks in advance,

They have for the past couple of years. The lobster roll is one of the best snack values around!

I have found that the food offerings at the F&W festival are the best use of snack credits in WDW. Last year we used our snack credits on things that were priced at more than $4. As a PP wrote - using a snack credit for the $7.50 lobster roll was great. :thumbsup2

All food and non-alcoholic beverage items count for snack credits, regardless of the cost of the item.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the responses. It is great to know that I can get one of those lobster rolls for a snack credit! I am so looking forward to that. Only 21 days until the rumbly in the tumbly can be satisfied by something sweet! ;)

As for where I saw the pictures.. lets see if I can get a link to work..

There you go, at the top there are pictures from 2009, but scroll down and you will see the pictures from this year..

Enjoy!!

We just got back from our trip last night:sad1:! We went to F & W on Sunday. We saved most of our snack credits from the week and used them all at the F & W. Basically, as the PP said, everything, regardless of price, that was non- alcoholic was a snack credit. We arrived with 18 snack credits and left with 1 and the only thing we paid cash for was a frozen mojito - so good- and a glass of wine! Everything was delicious! It was pretty crowded on Sunday, but all the lines moved fast. We had a blast!

I remember reading somewhere that you can use a CS for two snacks. Are you able to use a CS credit for two items for F&W?

No, F&W booths have never been able to take CS credits.

For that matter even converting a CS to snack credits is up to each individual place. I know last May a friend and I shared a room at CSR. She had to leave before me, so had three CS credits left. She tried at Starring Rolls in DS to convert her CS credits to snack credits, but was refused completely and was told it had to be done at the resort. We went back to CSR and she went to guest services to see if they could convert them and she was again told no, that it was up to each place. She then went to Rix Cafe where she was told they would do it, but it would be a one for one trade. All she got for her three CS credits were three Snicker bars.

No, they only take snack credits.

We did have one report of someone using a CS credit for three snacks at a booth - in 2006. Nothing since then. You can try, but will likely be told you can't use CS credits.

It is true that you will have better luck getting snacks for your CS at resort CS restaurants (probably not stores) but you should ask before you start collecting snacks, because each individual place may allow a different number of snacks per CS credit.

I think we are going to use the $4 mark as our rule of thumb, 14 days and counting till we get there.
