Mickey's Hot Chocolate and other food items sold at WDW

:wizard: When at WDW, nothing beats the freshly popped popcorn. We can't resist. We have "at least" one of those plastic tubs from each trip. ;) Did you know that a caramel shop will open later this month in Epcot's Germany Pavilion? It will be called Karamelle-Kuche (translated to Caramel Kitchen). They will sell fresh caramel popcorn, caramel apples, caramel-covered strawberries and marshmallows. We are so there in December! We once visited Ocean City, MD and had Fisher's famous caramel popcorn. One word ... YUMMY! If the caramel popcorn at Epcot is anything like that ... popcorn::

:goodvibes Jennifer

Do you know the date that this will open? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Let us know how it is. Inquiring minds (and bellies) want to know ... popcorn::

I don't get back until Oct. 1st, but I will post my thoughts. I can't wait. I LOVE anything caramel. I have a feeling that I will be bringing home some goodies. I wonder if I will like the caramel covered strawberries :confused3??? it sounds a little weird to me......

we always come home with some rice krispie treats. i believe the brand is Minnie's Bake Shop (i could be wrong). they are some of the best i've ever had. the first time, i thought they'd probably be stale. but no. they are wonderful! and now, we always come home with a few.

i did buy the colored hot chocolate one time, long ago. this was when they still had the bigger individual tins available. it wasn't too bad, but i'm used to the powdered hot chocolate.

Just wanted to add that the flavored lemonades they had in the cute Tinkerbell cans were TERRIBLE!! But the cans WERE very cute!.....:confused3

We always get the character-shaped sour gummies. Yum!!

DD likes the "create your own" giant oreo cookies at Goofy's Candy Co.

We also bring home the Mickey head rice krispy treats.

Umm... create your own giant oreo cookies? Where? Wha? How? Details please! Details!

We always buy a bunch of those little boxes of cookies, goofy's candy co. snacks, a box or two of Mickey Mac n' Cheese and the Mickey Coconut heads (yum!) to bring home. It helps during the post Disney blues stage. Brings back fond memories. :lovestruc

Oh my gosh!!! Post Disney blues...they do exist! I thought I was crazy for feeling so sad when we just get back from Disney vacations...YAYY:banana:...I'm not the only one!! I must tell my husband!

Mickey coconut heads? Yummmm....never had them, but coconut, yummm...

DD got hers at Goofy's Candy Co at DTD- this was in 2009, so I don't know if they still have them. It was at the "create your own" area in the center of the store- she had her choice of apple, marshmallows, pretzel rods, and a few others (rice krispy treat and graham cracker, maybe?). One of the choices was a big "chocolate cookie"- it was a huge Oreo lookalike. She got it dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with all kinds of stuff- Reeses, mini choc chips, nuts, and sprinkles, I think.

When they have it, we get the Mickey or Princess pasta and Mickey Mac n Cheese. We sometimes find it at the World of Disney store in DTD - but it is not always available.

Some info for my fellow Oreo lovers!! You can find them at Goofy's at Downtown Disney. The Oreos are big, like the size of a small bagel, and you can have them dipped into chocolate, and then covered with any assortment of sprinkles, nuts, chocolate chips, M&M's, and I think even crushed Oreos (Though, I cant remember for sure...)! An Oreo lover's dream, that's for sure. Just the sheer size of it is impressive, even without all the extras on top!:cloud9: The only thing that could possibly make it better would be if it was a giant Double Stuff Oreo...:rotfl:

Ohhh! I love the Chip N Dale Mickey head pretzels.

They're my favorite affordable snack to get for while I'm in the park, and then for travelling home, and if I get enough, to have after the trip...

You get a huge pound sized bag for like, 3 bucks.. Nothing special, just pretzels, shaped like Mickey.... and if you snack on them and free cups of water, you can stave off the hunger for quite a while in the park! lol

My favorite treat to to bring home is those big chunky bakeshop cookies they sell in the main street confectionery and all around the parks...especially the peanut butter kind. :lovestruc

In cooler months we like to pick up some school bread before leaving Epcot. It almost feels surreal to enjoy school bread at your home kitchen table!
