it might explain why i routinely fine awsome deals on k-cups (esp. the seasonal flavors) but based on the sheer number of them all of the stores carry here i can't imagine it's a commonly held hate (and with the number of starbucks closing these days/cost of their stuff more people may being going the make your own route).

With the long lines at Chick fil A, I'd say this is not correct about CA. To be honest, I can't think of anything here that a lot of people don't want to eat. Possibly a crappy buffet.

K-Cups I can understand...I'm not a fan. Between the waste and low quality Coffee for the most part, no thanks. I am always surprised there is not more hate for them.

Mayonnaise on fries - I cant imagine that being the first thing people think of as something they hate - it's great BTW.

Capers - who even thinks of capers, ever?

These things tend to just be click bait IMO.

For Maryland, I definitely agree. Corner piece of a brownie.

When we make brownies we cut away at least 3/4 inch away from all edges when the whole comes out of the baking dish, before cutting into squares.

That's the best part of the brownie...they make pans specifically so there are extra corners

Beets, Olives, Pickles and Anchovies are all listed - but personally I like all of those things so...

Oh I think I do....

So I have some people that we get stuck meeting every few months - cant seem to get rid of them - I try.

When they come over they always seem to have the cheapest bottle of wine imaginable.
We think they pick it up on the way over at the gas station. It's usually undrinkable.

They could at least splurge for Yellowtail...
Oh and there is no question they can afford it

Gotta assume that's political, and that the K-cup hate in Washington state has something to do with environmentalism.

Having just returned from a visit to Oklahoma and Kansas, I can see it. The folks in OKC didn't strike me as particularly vegetable-forward or vegan-adjacent and decent seafood must be fairly hard to find in Kansas.

Connecticut is capers. Seems totally random, I’ve never heard anyone I know say they hate them or even talk about them.

Delaware is accurate enough for me: Hawaiian pizza is almost as much of an abomination as those photos in the other thread.

Still, Hawaiian pizza wouldn’t be the first thing that comes to mind if I was asked. It would most likely be scrapple.

As mentioned above, a lot of these seem to be weirdly specific. Did the poll just record the first response from each state?

As for New Jersey, there is no such thing as “Gas Station Wine.” There may be a few exceptions (liquor stores that sell gas too) but in general gas stations and convenience stores in NJ are forbidden from selling alcohol.

eh, the p.r. machine talks a good talk but in reality our state is woefully behind the ball on this. we were surprised when we moved up here to find that the one and only garbage company that serves our region does not offer curb side recycling (blue or yard waste green) bins. statewide we don't have programs for beverage container recycling (the legislator is mulling over this again) and our overall participation rank in recycling in general is about 40% (we rank 15th in the u.s.).

This is often the case. Lots of idealism but very little practical application.

I think K-cups for a Washington May have more to do with it being home to Starbucks.


As a Californian I just don’t find Chick-Fil-A all that great. Certainly not worth the long (environmentally unfriendly) drive thru lines.
