I second the unpopular opinion. The old west hasn't been a popular theme/genre in a while, I remember seeing the show as a child and never had the urge to re-watch it as an adult. Cowboys and Indians is also a much more sensitive topic now so the move feels like a temporary band-aid until they figure out if they're going to change anymore of Frontierland when they're willing to spend money in Florida again.I’m going to throw out the opinion I was hoping they were going to announce it was closing and they were putting in something else. Maybe I’m the only one.
Just came to write that. My kids and I go around quoting that. Just hysterical to us. I'll be picketing outside if it comes to that.As long as there is still blood on the saddle, we good.
Agree as well. According to someone inside that park about 6-8 years ago there were conversations about completely "renovating" Frontierland. As far as they were concerned it was outdated and current guests overall had no interest in the area. It is used as a pathway to Thunder Mountain while the attractions (CBJ / Riverboat) and shops sit mostly empty. The conversation included Tom Sawyer Island for a major attraction. (and I would not rule that out with their hints of still expanding beyond Thunder Mountain. UNDER utilized expensive real estate)I second the unpopular opinion. I don’t like using the W word but as charming as this OG opening day attraction is it’s definitely apparent that some of the lyrics don’t fly to well from a 2020s standpointTravesty and not necessarily because of the anti-woke lyrics but just in general. Too outdated.
it could of been cool if it were a mix of some new originals mixed with things like country bear necessitiesTotally. I think redoing it is great, but rehashing Disney songs? Thats already so much of the parks. I do miss them coming up with original attractions.
THIS!!!It's a way of saving Country Bears from the potential Frontierland overhaul coming with Tiana's and later Beyond Big Thunder
Yeah, some of the songs are very disrespectful to put it mildly. But instead if axing the whole show and changing it to Disney songs, I wish they would’ve replaced the inappropriate songs with some in the same tone and style as the rest of it. It’s nice to have a unique attraction that has nothing to do with any movies (ignoring the one CB movie that came out as that didn’t result in changes to the attraction). Attractions not linked to movies are really rare now.I don’t like using the W word but as charming as this OG opening day attraction is it’s definitely apparent that some of the lyrics don’t fly to well from a 2020s standpoint

I think time will definitely tell depending on what songs are chosen for this pop/country Nashville-ian Disney jukebox musical…maybe we will at least get some quirky lyrics changes
That and Momma Don't Whip Little Buford! Those two are my favorites. As long as there is still blood on the saddle, we good.
As you can probably guess, I am the big CBJ fan in our family. I rarely miss it, and once managed to impress Liver Lips with my rendition of Blood on the Saddle. (E will vouch for this; she was there.) However, even I can see that the show is not pulling its weight given its location and size. There just aren't enough people walking in the door, and I suspect many guests have never heard most of the originals the show is based on.What are your thoughts on the reimagined OG opening day E-Ticket Country Bear Jamboree, the so-called Country Bear "Musical" Jamboree? I'm not sure I need to see the Country Bears singing "Let it Go," if that's what they're thinking of doing.
Does M know you call her Liver Lips?As you can probably guess, I am the big CBJ fan in our family. I rarely miss it, and once managed to impress Liver Lips with my rendition of Blood on the Saddle. I'm willing to see how it goes, and the reported connection to the Nashville music scene gives me reason to think it's going to be at least pretty good.
Ppl are complaining about changing the songs. Imagine the outrage if they actually removed it.No one at Disney has the guts or vision to redo The place like is needed. The one primary reason Universal is catching them on the parks front is that they haven't been afraid to tear down old and popular attractions to start again.
Disney needs to stop treating MK like a museum.
People will complain about everything and anything, the question Disney has to decide is will a new attraction drive increased profitability.Ppl are complaining about changing the songs. Imagine the outrage if they actually removed it.
