Heading to Dollarama at lunch today (and a few other non-airmiles places). Plus need some gas so I was waiting until this weekend and now I NEED gas for the car lol. Shell only gets me like 1 AM regular, but some bonuses and I have some cash miles to use towards that. Also trying to figure out something to purchase online as I still want to do the spend $150 get 150 AM, and that should be 7 or 8 regular miles, plus the 30X on that too. Yup, I'll be earning the full 500 if I can do anything about it!

Staples $105.00 so 5 Airmiles X 30 = 150 Airmiles
Heading out to Dollarama in an hour.

Yup, we're aware that we won't be getting the same amount of room but as mentioned above I simply can't justify the price difference for a 3 hour flight. With it only being a 2-2 configuration we know there won't be someone else's thigh touching ours and no elbows to fight off
Let's see - free wifi Yes please
snacks that are a *tad* more elevated than WestJet - hubby says yes please
Wine, beer, juice, whatever free - we don't drink but yeah, hubby will have a pop
Pay a bit more and get a bunch more perks that WestJet and Air Canada charge a LOT more for, yeah, I might be convinced for the longer trip in Feb/March but for our birthday trip we can manage without.

It will take 1800 miles plus for both of us to go one way on Porter leaving at noon
It will take 4700 miles for both of us to go one way on Westjet leaving at 7:30 OR 9,340 if you leave at 10:30?!?!?
A bit of a no-brainer if you ask me, so long as we go in with our eyes wide open about what the plane is like, I think this will work our for us.

***ETA on his way to bed hubby said "just pay the $400 direct to Porter and we know it's done" This guy really wants a trip!

Well come on, time to be an obedient wife and just book that trip like he says!! LOL

For those worried about smaller seats on Porter...my friend flys with them weekly...he is 6,4 and 240...not an issue for him..he prefers Porter

for anyone who's not sure how they can earn the full 500 miles this weekend i just got this email ... you would be stunned to know that it is possible to have this one thing work out but one day i earned over 57 miles in about 90 minutes which would put you well over the maximum! I'll give some pointers later on how to push thru and get more surveys to pop up. I'm going to opt in with my 2nd card and rack up the miles on it as well as the maximum from dollarama on the main card (buying disney gift cards for the birthday trip!)

I am headed to Dollarama this morning and Shell for snacks. Don't need gas as my nephew was in a car accident last week and hasn't been going to work so no need to fill car. He is fine but has whiplash and car is in repair shop and no estimate received yet.
Wanted to go to Metro for a shop but decided to go to cottage with my Mom and Sister instead as it is Garlicfest on Sunday and I can't miss that.
I may do a small online shop but not $150 worth.

I had Metro delivered, and they had TP/PaperTowels on sale (sort of) if you buy 2 you get 15 AM, so I did some of that and with everything else earned 9 base miles, which is 270 with 30X the points, so add in the Dollarama that should get me 300 and I'm apparently done? huh. that was easier than expected. And I got a chicken to try on my new rotisserie thingy in the air fryer! I hope it works lol
Now to decide if I don't want to book Universal or a cruise for March Break. Seems to be Florida March break the same week so I am guessing prices will be high and it'll be busy.

You know your priorities are screwed up when you see the headliner of an email come in that says "comprehensive plan for wait times" and get excited thinking Disney is doing something about ride wait times. But no, just a political email about cutting health care wait times. Darn. LOL

For switching our air miles card for the card link offers, do we know if it will actually work in our favour? Meaning, do we know how long we might have to wait in between de-linking and linking for it to take effect?

I didn't know this, so thought I would share it. This is a comment from the FB air miles page:

Hi Reenie, Miles will retire if you have no usage on your account for 24 months. You can avoid this by earning 1 Mile or using 1 Mile in a 24 month period. We recommend keeping your account updated as we will reach out via email a few times prior to this happening. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to send us a DM.

Is this new? I thought they didn't expire?

it did NOT work for me, even though i have screenshots to show that i had done it correctly the miles never posted to the second card so I've decided to ignore this. Not worth losing out on the bonus i need to earn this weekend!!!!

Nice! And you get 1AM even if you don’t qualify for the survey. Try 7 times and you have 200 AM.
Then Dollarama $30 for 300 AM and done.

I do surveys on Leo and earn Aeroplan miles.

We are now rewired to the kitchen......well actually wireless for the next week.
I stopped by Shell but their debit/credit was off line.
I managed to find another Shell and filled up.
So all finished on my card.
I am not sure about my sons card ,,we'll see how desperate I am to get out of the house tomorrow ..lol
