I can't figure out those single window rooms - because where are the 2 bedrooms? Usually, a 2 bedroom has a shared balcony between the master and the living area, and then a second balcony for the second bedroom. The balconies with two windows must be the one bedrooms - but where's the second room? Would the single windows be a new type of lock-off where they add a two bed studio to make a 2 bedroom? Or just have only tower studios since there's already an overabundance of studios at Poly?
The whole section is 2 windows next to one - what are you seeing - I see 2 Columns of 2 br and one 1BR column

The large openings are most likely for doors and not windows. I would guess the balconies with double door openings are the one bedrooms. It's possible the two bedrooms may have a private balcony for the master or there are just mostly lockoff 2BRs. I'm guessing any GVs will be on the top floors. Also I wonder if the single door openings tucked in the corner will be the duo studios.

Not if they are lock offs ( and the window pattern is different each resort)
Yes even in lockoffs. We're a family of 6 - have stayed at almost every 2 bedroom on property (other than copper creek which is a remodel.) There is a window in the studio side of the lock-off, and then two windows (but maybe one balcony with two doors) on the one bedroom side of the lock-off, for a total of 3 windows. In Riviera for example, there is a window in the living room, a door to the side for the balcony, a window in the master bedroom, and a window/balcony in the second bedroom (both lock off and dedicated.) Always 3 windows/sliding door window.

What I'm wondering is if maybe all the two bedrooms will be lock-offs - with that second room studio being in the style of the resort studios at VGF with two beds and no kitchenette. The studio offering for Poly2 would be just the resort studio style and the tower studios - to complement the deluxe studios already at the Poly.

I don’t think we are looking at the same picture- there are two windows next to one- and then two windows next to another one ? Just like a 2 br lock off. It is literally a one bedroom next to a studio.

I think you're both saying the same thing: there are 3-window (I prefer "3-bay" as to avoid window/sliding door differences) sets that can broken into 2+1, which would correspond to 1BR + Studio and could be a 2BRLO if the rooms connect.

In the artist renderings there are very few 3-bay configurations that have no divider between the 2+1, which is a bit odd. I don't think any undivided 3-bay have been constructed yet.

I think what's unique about some of the constructed 2+1s is that there's a solid divider between a bunch of them. Some have openings connecting the balconies, but others are solid. I don't think we have a lot of permanently divided balconies in other 2BRLOs, so I'm wondering whether those with the solid dividers will even be 2BRLOs.

If you look at the side views there is a gap in some that would allow for a dedicated 2 bedroom this could be the difference.- this article has the best drawing

Here are some pics from yesterday…

First, how visible it is from the main pool area.
You can barely see the top floors.

Progress seems to be near the end of the main section and getting ready for the last section by the pool area.

View attachment 769640Just wanted to double check and see if there is still a plan for a pool. I was with a lady today at Poly pool and she mentioned she owned DVC and said they decided not to add a pool here. She said they would just share the 2 pools atPoly. I didn’t think that was true but thought maybe I was missing something….

If they aren’t adding a pool at the Poly Tower they’ll need to add the tower into the Grand Floridian association and call it the Grand Polynesian.
Lol I agree! It seemed silly but she was so adamant about it. Thought I’d check here. I thought if this was true, that’s a haul over to Poly pools and that adds a lot of people to those pools!

The analysis of openings on a bare concrete structure is staggering here, lol!
We need to try to figure out what Disney won’t tell us. People are very eager to find out if it will or will not be the same association. Maybe they will tell us on Sept 12.
