Because if the LAST LL MADE would mess that up, then I should make one at 5pm, like you said, and make it for the second I enter into the park.

I'm just trying to figure out how to be making LL during the day as I'm travelling to the park, and also get to book one as soon as I tap in. Is that possible?

So if I have been making choices all day back in atlanta and at the airport....at 7 I got thunder mountain for 5pm (ignore the liklihood of the times, I'll be modifying, just play along, haha)

Then, at 11am, I choose pirates for 5:30

At 1pm, I choose jungle cruise for 6pm

At 3pm, I choose haunted mansion for 6:15.

At this point, I'm still not in the park.

Finally, I arrive! Its 4:50 and I go straight to thunder mountain for the 5pm, I tap in and ride.

Are you saying that because thunder mountain is not my most recently chosen LL, I won't be able to immediately choose another after tapping in?

Correct. Tapping into Big Thunder won't make you eligible to book again.

But you will be eligible to book at 5:00, since you last booked at 3:00 (2 hours ago).

The LLs you have booked throughout the day won't mess anything up.

If you book an LL at 5:00 for the time that you figure you will enter the park (say, 5:30), then yes, only tapping into that ride will make you eligible right away.

Tapping into any of the other LLs you have booked will have no effect (good or bad) on your eligibility status.

Thank you...I think I've got it.

Last question, I promise.

So there's something special about the LAST thing you do? I think that's the part that's tripping me up. I had thought that if you had a ride booked, and you tapped into that ride, you could then book another ride right then.

If I had been making ride bookings all day, at 7, 11, 1, 3 and 5....you are saying that if I rode the ride that I had booked at 11 am because the time happened to be the moment I entered the park, that I WOULD NOT then be able to make another booking right after tapping in BECAUSE that ride I just rode, was reserved back earlier in the day at 11 and wasn't the LAST thing I did, the 5pm booking? Do I have it??

Exactly correct.

The reason that the bookings at 7, 11, 1, and 3 are no longer relevant, is because each of them made you eligible to book again 2 hours later (2 hours after park opening in the case of the 7:00 am booking).

Since you booked again 2 hours later for each one of them, the newest booking made you eligible again (1) in 2 hours, OR (2) when you tap into that ride.

Frankly, it won't make much difference which ride you tap into first. If you have already booked Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Haunted Mansion, the remaining LL attractions will probably have relatively short standby waits.

Two questions: can I change my indivisible lighting lane time? It won’t let me on my end as there is no option

Second question: I have a lighting lane for 5 mins before the park closes, but there is extra magic hours right after. If I am late, can I still use it during extra magic hour timeframe? Flights are delayed. Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, an ILL$ time cannot be adjusted. I would recommend going to the attraction when you arrive and try scanning. If it turns blue you can explain your situation and see if they can possibly help you. If it’s for Tron it may not be possible to move. You may wish to visit Guest Services on your way.m into the park.

Unfortunately plans on travel days come with risks. Hope your flight isn’t delayed too long.

Diverted to another airport unfortunately. Heading back to Orlando now. Not sure where I’ll find food at 11:00pm at the boardwalk. I’ll try and make the best of it

I am probably massively overthinking this but here goes-
If I want LL for Remy for later in the day (between 4-6 PM but the closer to 6 PM the better) but also want Soarin (hopefully around 11 ish) and TT (hopefully around 3-4) is my best strategy still to grab Remy at 7 AM (and then modify until I get it to the time I want) and then grab Soarin as my 11 AM choice (2 hours after park open), and then TT after tapping in at Soarin?

I've been stalking thrilldata return times and a bunch of other things but I'm still not convinced I have this right.

There is a risk that Test Track could be no longer available by the time you tap into Soarin:

Might be better to get Test Track as second Lightning Lane, and then get Soarin after that (but it would mean you would be doing Soarin in the afternoon rather than the late morning).

Thanks! That was my fear. I'll have to keep an eye on TT availability around 11/11:30 and see how it looks. Still plenty of time to rearrange my day at 11 AM though so if I have to move Soarin to the afternoon all is not lost :)

Also, Soarin often has a lower wait time if you need to do one standby if all LLs are gone.

When we were there the third week of April, we didn't get to the park until about 9:30/9:45 & Soarin was a walk on around 10:00 a.m. This was on a Thursday.
Perfect. It looks like I can grab Remy at 7, grab TT as my 11 AM choice for later in the day (return times look like anywhere between 3:45 and 5:45 depending on the day).

I'll either plan to do Soarin when we arrive around 9 AM (as in stepping off the monorail at 9 AM, not standing at the entrance to Soarin at 9 AM :) ) or it does look like my odds are pretty good of getting a close-ish return time if I choose it as my 1 PM choice.

I'd probably skip G+ if we were rope dropping or staying for EEH but between DS16 who would sleep until noon and DS6 who won't make it much past dinner, here we are.

Going next week with a 2 yr old, so no ticket and no magic band. If we have a ILL reservation, do they just go in with us even though they are not listed in the ILL group? Or do i somehow have to add them?

Considering most (all?) of the ILL attractions have a height restriction, I don't think your 2 YO would be able to ride anyway - you'll have to check on the potential for ride swap or riding separate.

I disagree...i can find a number of rides with no height restriction listed on the official Disney site. For example, jungle cruise, pirates, under the sea, small world. Anyone know the answer to my question?

The ILL attractions are the big rides - FOP, ROTR, 7 Dwards, Tron...... Many Genie+ attractions are kid-friendly. The question seemed to be around ILL. This might just be a disagreement on terminology.....!
