Are you a milkshake drinker?
If yes…..How often do drink one?
Do you enjoy them with a meal or alone?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I am normally not a milkshake drinker - I’m not a big fan of them. Once in awhile I’ll try one if there’s a restaurant that has a milkshake that people rave about. That was the case last night - we ate at the new Portillo’s in town (Chicago beef and hot dog place, for the many that wouldn’t know) and they have a chocolate cake shake that everyone loves, so I decided to try. I forgot how much I don’t like milkshakes with a meal (not refreshing and is to filling) and how I don’t like sucking super hard on the straw to drink the shake. I guess I’m just not a fan of drinking my ice cream. I actually drank half of it, got a cup of water, and took the remainder home for DD19 who likes their cake shakes. This was my first milkshake in eons and it will probably be my last for another eon - LOL!

I've never been to a Portillo's but I know they're legendary. They have a few in Florida and seem to be expanding fairly quickly. One of these days I'll give one a try....

I have them very rarely and if I did it would not be with a meal.

My son gets milkshakes often from Sonic.

I drink them every now and then. I don't drink them with a meal generally. I liked the Cookies and Cream one from Chick-Fil-A a lot.

I don't think I have had one in a long time.
Other things I would rather have.

I have had meal replacement shakes much more often than a real shake. Mostly I choose not to drink them because they're too many calories and because milk upsets my stomach. I wouldn't say I'm lactose intolerant but def sensitive to milk and fat both so it's not worth the belly pain afterward.

Once a year I will splurge and buy the peppermint choc chip milkshake from Chick fil a that is only available at Christmas time.

I don't drink them often. Too many calories. I also don't drink them with a meal since I'd prefer to have a water, iced tea or an alcoholic beverage.

I've seen them hyped up a lot so I tried a milkshake at Toothsome at Universal and sorry guys, but they were kinda mediocre.......:duck:

I rarely drink them, that's just too much ice cream to consume at once and feel good about yourself.
When I do drink them, it's by itself or as a dessert after a meal. I want a real beverage with a meal to wash it down.

A milkshake is a stand-alone treat and since it’s not something I crave, it’s a rare one. I just had one on Mother’s Day (jamoca fudge from Arby’s) and it was my first in recent memory. :goodvibes

Once or twice per summer. It has to be real, made to order with milk and real ice cream. Nothing pre-made dispensed from a machine or with “frozen dairy dessert product.”

And it has to be plain and simple. No cookies or brownies or M&M’s sticking out the top.

Yuck!! :crazy2:

At most some whipped cream or a cherry or sprinkles on top.

Yum!!!

I love milkshakes but I don’t like whipped cream or a bunch of junk on them. I rarely have them though and never with a meal because it’s just too much.

I love them and drink them as often as I can. I don't drink the kind that have food in them, unless you count cookies and cream or fruit. I drink them alone or with a meal or sometimes as a meal. To me, ice cream is a food group. My favorite ones are from Chick-Fil-A. In the summer their peach ones, during the holidays their peppermint and year round the cookies and cream. I will pretty much drink them anywhere they are offered though.

We used to get the chocolate malted milkshakes at 50s Prime Time in Hollywood Studios. Soooo good! They don't have the malt powder anymore and the shakes have gotten much smaller. It's not a must for us anymore. That was probably the only place I've had a shake in at least the past 10 years, lol!

Every so often, I get a kids chocolate shake to enjoy with my single hamburg and onion rings from Swensons (a local drive-in.)

I rarely have one. My husband loves them. My grandson likes them too.
Most of my "rarely" times would be on vacation ( like WDW) and even then I'm sharing one or just having a taste.
BTW, I do love ice cream but if I'm putting those kind of fat and calories in my body I don't want it thru a straw!
