ANNUAL PASSES ARE BACK!!!

Got our 10 days tickets upgraded to APs over the phone, took a couple hours on hold with the ticketing phone number. They were also able to keep all of our May park reservations so we don't have to rebook those.

I know it's not your fault- but this is some serious crap that I'm sitting here on hold for well over 2 hours and have been seeing 90 minutes, and random others who have said they got right through. (I was at 2:21 at the moment you posted 90 minutes)

I keep getting cut off around the 1 hour 15 min mark and it's so frustrating!

Was trying at staring at 6am, completed our purchase of 2 Sorcerer passes at 9:02am.

This is on-par with expectations with regards to online WDW experience.

Im so glad Iger is back and fixed everything 🤪

got to purchase screen but gave me no option to get credit for the pixie passes that I already had .. which I thougt would be the case since Disney is so horrible on the IT and customer service side. I will re-evaluate if I want to even be a passholder anymore ... not really seeing the benefit.

My wife called in this morning and upgraded our two 4-day tickets for next month to APs. I was hoping we could do it online but no dice...oh well, it's done now.

you also have the option of just not going ..
no, it makes us too unhappy.
We tried a couple different trips, and even staying in our DVC and going to Universal... their food allergy policies were so lax they almost killed my son.
All of us have been moping around wishing we were back at Disney. I know it's a choice, but it's one that matters to us.

So sorry you had a bad exper at universal.. I have not been there in years but do agree that it is a step down from disney.

We enjoyed much of the trip, but just not the same. We were all impressed by some of the ride tech, but aren't huge thrill ride fans. Between the Dr Suess feeling like a "themepark nightmare hell" per my son and their inability to distinguish between gluten preference and completely unrelated allergies, it was not our happy place.

Got em! FYI I was upgrading from PH to AP and I had both the 7702 number and the 3800 on hold. But 7702 picked up first and told me that was the only number that could do the upgrade and not DVC member services (the 3800 #). Hope that helps someone. BTW the CM was awesome. She was Patient, thorough and kind.

This is my problem too….we are not all getting treated equally somehow.

I got through the phone lines TWICE and was not allowed to upgrade a single ticket that I had just bought for that specific purpose (because reports were coming through as that was the only way to get it if not through MS).

I had to give up my in-cart sorcerer pass to buy said ticket (couldn’t check out any other way) and then when everyone with passes in their cart started getting checked out, my pass was obviously gone.

Now people who sort in til noon will hop on to say they got theirs in 2 minutes. Lol

Meanwhile, I’ve got 8-10 hours of work to do on 4 hours sleep.

I was also treated very rudely by chat and on phone. I get they’re busy but some need empathy training or something.

This is actually comical. Here's my story, that started at 6 am.
1. I had all the trouble that everyone else had from 6 am-9 am. No dice with calling or with the website.
2. At 9 am, I got in the virtual online queue and that took forever.
3. In the meantime, I got through to the regular number, where the CM said he couldn't help me and all would be good once I got through online.
4. I finally got through the online queue and loaded my passes in my cart, and the website would only let me enter one Disney gift card. GAH! Obviously, I had more than one loaded to the $1k max to purchase my APs. Website told me to call the gift card number.
5. The gift card CM told me she couldn't help and sent me to customer service. Customer service told me they couldn't figure out why the gift card CM sent me to them. They said I needed to call the AP dedicated number for help with the gift card transaction.
6. I sat on hold with the AP number, and on a whim I messaged an online chat CM who told me DVC member services is the only one who can help. So I hung up.
7. Since then, I have tried repeatedly to get through to DVC member services, and I couldn't even get in the phone queue...I just got a busy signal.
8. In frustration, at 11 am (five hours now that I've been trying to figure this out) I closed all my website tabs, and took the poor dog for a walk. (Poor guy has been waiting since 6 am for a walk!). When I came back from the walk, I tried DVC member services, and I"m now in the phone queue. I was told my wait time is 32 minutes. So, we'll see what unfolds and how long I wait.

Takeaway...Disney doesn't know what they are doing. CM's have been lovely and I feel so sorry for them. This mess isn't their fault. By hook or by crook, if there are any Sorcerer passes left when I finally get to talk to a DVC member services CM, Disney WILL take my fistful of Disney gift cards. No way am I paying on my credit card when I have plenty of $ on these gift cards to pay for my APs. Gggrrrr...

I hope all you Disfriends have been able to figure this out today! Peace by with you...

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with a DVC Member Services CM who was able to help me purchase my APs with my gift cards. And yes, it's noon. So, it's been SIX HOURS. But, I'm happy to have APs now!

I am just short of 3 hours on hold. My phone is starting to overheat. I do not have words for how frustrating this is today, after waking up extra early to start with.

Don't panic if your AP shows a 2024 expiration date - that is the deadline to activate it and it will be good for a year after activation. You can only activate by going to Guest Relations in person to show ID and prove DVC eligibility.
