What Trivial things annoy you about people?

People who don't put their shopping carts back in the cart corral (or back by the store at least).

When there is a line at a store, and a person gets to the front, items get rung up, gets their total bill, THEN they start small chat with the clerk, BEFORE starting to look for their credit card/debit card or cash.
Close second, people who "window shop" at the convenience store check stand.......trying to decide what lottery ticket, cigarettes, or liquor they want.

When a smoker takes a last puff before walking into a store or restaurant then exhales the smoke after walking in. I’m not even sure they know they are doing that.

I'll go a step further and say back in the cart corral neatly. It's not difficult to push it into another cart like you clearly saw they were when you got it in the front of the store. The mess comes mainly from I see just about everyone too lazy to even finish walking to the corral and they just launch it from halfway across the driving lane.

I worked in a grocery store when I was a kid. I have a tendency to take my cart back and straighten and push them all together. I also will take what I am buying off the shelf and pull the one behind it forward.

People who park or leave their shopping carts in the hash tag/no parking area next to a handicap space. Yesterday I pulled in, ready to lower my daughter's ramp and some guy comes up with his shopping cart and just leaves it there. I yelled at him, buddy....you put that cart right where her ramp comes down, now I can't get her out. He came back, walked the cart a whopping 3 feet further to the cart stand. Why he couldn't walk that 3 feet in the first place.

Far and away the worst is people who enter a place and then stop just inside the doorway to read a map/get their bearings/look at their event tickets/figure out why they are there in the first place, or whatever it is they're doing. Double-vexing if it's a group. :furious: Step off to the side, people - step off to the side!!!

Men who wear hats/caps at the table and women who put handbags on the table.
This would never happen with my own DH or DS (totally unacceptable), but what somebody else does at some other table, in a restaurant, for example, doesn't even catch my attention. I personally don't carry a purse, so I don't have to think about where to put it while dining.

I can kind of understand the hat thing, but it doesn’t bother me, but where would you like women to put their handbags? Normally I will put it on a chair if we have a larger table than just for the two of us. Otherwise I will sometimes put it on the table. Really don’t see anything wrong with that. A man who takes his hat off at the table would probably lay it on the table too, wouldn’t they?

Excessive fidgeting noise/vibrations. Like if someone is tap tap tapping their pen next to me or shaking their knee constantly when I’m sitting next to them in the train, etc. I’m sure it’s subconscious for people but drives me crazy, lol.

People who put their phone on speaker in public. I really don't need to hear what your husband/kids/friend did today.

Also, someone popping chewing gum. Just want to slap them and say stop it.

The shopping cart thing bugs me too. I always grab any that are floating around when I put mine up and make sure they are all put where they belong.

I get the hats and purses thing but like someone else asked, where do you want them to put them if not on the table and there isn't an empty chair? I rarely carry a purse but if I can't safely hang it on the back of the chair (in a place where someone walking behind me can't steal it or get into it) I'm not putting it on the dirty floor. If I have a long enough strap, I'll hang it from my knee in my lap. If I'm wearing a cap to the parks at Disney usually I'll take it off and hang it on the back of the chair if there is a long enough pole to hang it on, otherwise it goes either on the seat next to me if there is one or sometimes on my lap if I can squish it enough but I have been known to have to put it on the table. It's either that or wear it. If my hair is not long enough to put in a pony tail or short enough to not matter, sometimes I have to leave it on because wearing a cap at the table is a better alternative to sweaty hair sticking up in all directions.

People who seem genuinely surprised when they get to the checkout at the grocery store and they need to have a form of payment. What were you doing the whole time you were waiting in line?

My mother (whom I do love dearly)....hums....constantly...like all the time and is totally unaware of it. It's maddening.

In my head the bottom of handbags are dirty and covered in germs. Maybe it’s a me thing, but I don’t like suitcases/overnight bags on beds or anything like that. They have sat on a lot of floors.
I wouldn’t like a hat on the table either, partly because of germs but also because in my little corner of Wales, we superstitiously believe that shoes or hats on a table invites death.

Oh, I have been known to shout at my television when I encounter vloggers who do restaurant reviews wearing caps, and cutlery waving ….. drives me crazy.😂

At the airport the other day someone rushed around my family, sped through the automatic doors with all their luggage, and did exactly that. Just dead stopped to look around and evaluate their next move.
