Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Is there a place to get a burger to go? Ive been scoping the menus but don’t see anything. Wr arrive after 8pm, have a 3yo and would prefer to pick something up.
I have arrived latish the last few trips. My go to has been the A&C bar. Ya I know you have a 3yo but lots of places close at 9p and I kept arriving after. In Nov they had burgers (didn't earlier in the year). You could have one of you sit at the bar and order food and request to go from there. I did see people do that. Food can be ordered until 10p and bar is open until 11p. The qs at BC was open late in Nov and one night I ordered from there.

My only direct flight has been landing late and I arrive starving lol. I have learned how to find food late. :)

The food at Big River is good and usually prepared quickly.
It’s one of the few places we never have visit. I’m perfectly ok with a sandwich from the deli but my husband has non stopped talked about how he will need a burger when we get there. If it’s quick I might be able to send him while I get our daughter ready for bed.

The lack of a regular QS place at BW is my only complaint about that resort. I've been to Big River once and it was probably one of the worst meals I've ever had in Disney. Food was okay, nothing special, but the inside of that place was so gross. Very dated, things were just not clean, layout was so weird...you can really tell it's run by a third party.

A&C is a good suggestion, but you probably don't want to walk all the way over there while you're trying to get settled in the room and everything. Have you checked the menu at the pool bar, Leaping Libations? They're open late and don't have a burger specifically, but they have hot dogs and stuff. Or just order DoorDash or something when you're on your way to BW, have dinner delivered around the same time you arrive.

They are doing every single room in the Inn. Well, I have not specifically been told that the Cottages are included but I can't see them doing every room but those so I'm just assuming they are included.
Having stayed in both an Inn room and the Cottages last year, I thought the Cottages needed an update way more than the rooms!

I just noticed that BWI came up as an option on my Chase Sapphire Points site. It was sold out every date I put in so I was wondering if it’s just a mistake or if it really is available to book via points. No other Disney Hotels (other than Dolphin/Swan) are shown on the site.

I agree with you on the Big River Grill. Went there once and wouldn’t go back. I think DoorDash would be the best option.

Thanks!

I wish in room dining was back. I think it will be doordash or ale & compass to go. Or my husband will need to just suck it up and eat something other than a burger. He will survive, lol.

If anyone is staying at Boardwalk in the next few days can you ask if guests can use the BC pool given waterslide closure?? I will try to email them and find out

Regarding the refurbishment, does anyone know the current status? (Besides pool info posted above - thanks!) Tried to search but could not find recent information. We will be staying in a 3 bedroom in a few weeks and was curious if anyone stayed in one recently? Thanks.

Believe Villa side is after the Inn. Inn just started. So not for a while

Years ago, we stayed at the Beach Club during a week-long slide closure. They allowed access to the BW feature pool. I wonder if they'd allow you to go to SAB.
We stayed at BWV one time a few years ago and the Luna park pool and slide was closed (maybe this was when they were removing the clown)… and they did let us go to SAB. They even had a guy in a golf cart drive you over if you wanted. We are heading to BWI on 3/16 for our second visit and I can’t believe the pool is gonna be closed again- my kids will be disappointed as they really want to try the slide!
