Little microwave yellow cakes with a pouch of chocolate frosting. My Dad used to make them on Sunday nights after church. I think you just added water.

Same here. Pizza from a pizza parlor was expensive in the 1960s. Still is today. I was in College before I ate pizza from a pizza parlor. My mom used to buy the Chef Boyardee kits, or if frozen pizzas in the store were on sale, one of those, and she bought more cheese, mushrooms and meat to doctor them up.

TV dinners. Other foods that seemed kind of exciting for a kid were foods you could make yourself, such as Shake-a Pudd’n and there was a similar pancake kit that was shaken in a large paper cup. I can’t recall the name though.

canned brown bread (which seems to have made a recent comeback )
lima beans
any kind of internal organs (hated stuffing as a kid b/c of them)

Reason being, I haven't seen them in stores since I was in elementary school. They really need to bring those back.

My breakfast for years was Carnation Instant Breakfast as I would never eat a regular breakfast.

Pepsi. We always had Pepsi in the house growing up and I really dislike it now.

Banquet Boil in a bag dinners. Chicken a la king was my favorite. My Mom would serve it over bread.

Charles brand chips, which we called Charlie Chips. The Charles Chips company had a delivery truck and my Mom bought a large tin each month.

Yup. A jar of bacon grease drippings in the fridge, that everything was cooked in.

Never went away. Not part of my childhood or my adult life, but always see the cans of brown bread next to the chili beans in the store.
