Various throughout the country. Some places that would be high, a lot of others that would be a bargain.
My electric bill to the actual electric company the last 5 months has been $23.05 a month. That is the minimum charge for being hooked into their system.
I have solar panels. My solar bill last month was $180*, so my total electric bill was just over $200 a month for a 2010 square foot house in an area where the weather has been 90-100 degrees in a house kept at 72.
*I have a PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) for my solar system. The entire system was free. I have to buy ALL the power my panels make for 20 years at a predetermined price. Any power I don't use is sold to my electric provider at a LOWER predetermined price. So I am drawing power from my electric company at night when my solar panels aren't making power, but I am drawing less power than the surplus I am selling to my utility. If I had purchased my solar panels, I would not have a solar bill, but my system would have cost me $36,000 before tax credits, or about $24,000 after Federal and State tax credits.
