Stitch’s Great Escape Wait Time Sign Removed, Other Attraction Signage Remains at Magic Kingdom

Disney has not announced what, if anything, will replace Stitch’s Great Escape. Most recently, the hallways were used as a Cast Member break area.

I know this was not a great attraction, but one of my son's favorites. He received so much joy picking out the perfect seat for me to sit in, the seat that Stitch would spit on 😂
R.I.P Stitch's Great Escape... thanks for the memories 😍

Park Pass Availability Dwindles for April

For Resort Guests, some days just 3 parks are unavailable and some days just 1 park is unavailable. In this instance, a park hopper would be a good choice for your ticket choice.

Same options for Guests with just a ticket-only purhcase. Also, park pass reservations for Annual Passholders are all currently still available.

I wasn't expecting TRON until '23, but I wonder if they'll target by the end of the year

I don't think so. I was just there, and they still are pouring concrete, working on the canopy and working on getting the train tunnel built, much less adding the tracks back. Then there are all the finishing touches like signage, queues, and shrubbery. Considering Guardians is all but done, and they are conducting test rides for executives, but they still haven't removed the construction walls or given a firm date, just Summer 2022, I don't see Tron opening until sometime next year.

We were there. First time we have been on property for a DVC after hours event. We do not live close to Florida, so we go to Disney usually every two years. I will tell you that this, in our opinion, was awful. From everything I read about this, we were supposed to have short lines for rides, treats, special characters, reimagined entertaining. Lines were generally long. We arrived at about 9:30 after having left MK. We walked on to Spaceship Earth and were very excited. Then we went to Test Track. The wait was over an hour. Went over to The Land Pavillion to get a treat since the two, yes only two, lines for popcorn and ice cream bars were extremely long. There were fruit and cheese boxes which everyone was grabbing as quickly as they could. We decided to ride Soarin' since it was only a 30-minute wait. My 16-year-old son decided to wait in the line for the popcorn buckets. 45 minutes later, he finally had them. At this point we were just mad. We were spending the very little time allotted for this event in long lines. We went to the Port of Entry store to see about the special merchandise. All they had was one DVC spirit jersey and one button up men's shirt. That's it! And it wasn't even "special", we could get the same things in our resort gift shop. After talking to someone in line about the attraction wait times, we decided to go ride Test Track which was now down to a 40 minute wait, and then leave. We rode TT, which turned about to be about a 25 minute wait. When we got off it was 12:30. Knowing we had 30 minutes left, we decided to ditch the event and the crowds rather than trying to race back to Remy and get in line there. On the bus back to our resort, we all agreed that we should have just gone back to our resort and got a few extra hours sleep before our next day at the MK.

I’m sorry to hear it was such a disappointment! I will take your word for it, since we miss an event by a couple days. Hopefully the next one will be better for those attending.

Tron is still an active construction site and the tunnel part for the train that goes beneath the attraction isn’t fully finished.

Yellow line is approximately the route for the train.

As you can tell by this aerial photo, the area the train needs to go through is still a very active construction zone. This is an older picture since the canopy up towards the Speedway is now white. You can really see it from the Peoplemover. They have a lot of concrete work still to do before they can relay the train tracks. And that concrete work won't start until the canopy is finished. If you look to the right of the yellow line and above the Tron canopy, you can see the only area that has concrete. Plus, they are building a tunnel for the train under Tron itself. I am an IT Project Manager, not a construction PM, but to me, it looks like it will be several more months before the train is back.

Hoping that last week ends up not as bad as the rest of the month, I arrive on the 25th. Crowd levels haven't been following any sort of set pattern since last Autumn.

Disney World extends theme park hours in Early April

Walt Disney World theme park hours have been extended at all four parks from April 3 to 9, 2022.

Magic Kingdom will now be open from 9 am to 11 pm except on April 7 when the park will close at 10 pm.

From April 4 to 9 Epcot will be open from 8:30 am to 9 pm instead of 10 am to 9 pm.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open earlier than previously scheduled from April 4-9. The park will be open from 8 am to 9 pm except on April 6 when the park will close at 5 pm.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom will now open at 7:30 am instead of 9 am. The park will also close at 8:30 pm instead of 7 pm.

They need to do something. The crowds are INTENSE. We were just there from Thursday - left Monday afternoon. We got to most parks 45 minutes before "resort guest" early entry. It was a mob every morning and by 10:30 am just about every ride has an hour or more wait. The posted wait times were almost always wrong for both long and short waits. Yesterday, at about 10:30 at MK, the posted wait for Tea Cups was 15 minutes. Walked over there and the line was outside the queue and wrapped completely around the ride. Absolutely longer than 15 minutes. At 12:53 yesterday, Haunted Mansion was posted at 60 minutes. We boarded the ride at 1:25.

unfortunately that lines up with our experience as well. :(

If we do a grocery stop on the way from airport to Dolphin, will Bell Services refrigerate cold stuff for us until we can get into our rooms?
