Nothing Can Stop Us Now! The End! Well almost, quick recap of Jan 22 trip! Update on April trip 4/21*

I was comparing the Barcelona Lounge to the Lounge upstairs. The snacks seem better upstairs. I am hoping we try at least one of them on our trip! Speaking of which, are we overlapping trips?
We liked the Barcelona one better, more relaxed vibe, both are really nice!
I think we will miss you. We are there 4/26 to 5/3.
I know so many people who have never been that are going! It's crazy. I am trying to mentally prepare myself for our trip!
It is so busy there ugh! With fewer CM’s we have noticed crowd control is lacking and can be scary at times. I hope this improves!

A lovely evening.

If you guessed staying at the resort and having one of our best meals of the trip, you got it right, yay!:cheer2:

We quickly scratched MK, it was around 5pm and we decided to enjoy this wonderful resort.

I got lucky and there was a reservation at Topolinos for around 5:30pm. :thumbsup2 I had also ordered some groceries and water from Instacart which arrived at 5:10pm. We put a few things away and went up to dinner. The restaurant was one floor above us. This was so nice! We checked in and our table was ready right on time. We had a table for 4, wow things are looking up, lol 😆. The table was in a separate room and we were the only two in there, this was very nice! We started off with a cocktail and appetizer. Our waiter was wonderful, he was from Turkey. He was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive in the right way.

I had the French Rose,

Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Combier Crème de Pamplemousse Rose Liqueur, Raspberry, Agave, Lemon, Soda Water. This was so good. I really enjoyed this.

Andi had the Pomegranate Paradiso

Figenza Vodka, Pomegranate, Lemon, Pineapple. She was happy with this. I thought it was good but liked mine better.

We also had the epi bread with delicious olive oil and we ordered the ricotta and tomato jam, this was so delicious. We were so hungry and it tasted wonderful. All the components on this plate worked so well together with the yummy bread. The combination of the mild ricotta with the balsamic and tomato jam was so delicious.

Ricotta Tomato, Aged Balsamic, Cracked Pepper, Basil.

Andi had the Rigatoni it was

Braised Chicken Sugo, Broccolini Rapini, Wild Mushrooms, Parmigiano-Reggiano. This was very delicious. The mushrooms in this pasta were so yummy. She gave this two thumbs up.

I had the Diver Scallops

Spring Vegetable Risotto, Asparagus, Emerald Crystal Lettuce and Meyer Lemon Oil. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had a delicious flavor. I loved the asparagus and the risotto was very good. It was a little to much English peas for me but overall very tasty!

We loved our meal and service here. It was so nice! We decided to pass on dessert. Our meal was not rushed and the food was sent out in perfect intervals. It allowed us time to visit and enjoy our drinks. We took the long walk down 1 floor to our room after dinner.

It was a wonderful dinner and our 2nd favorite of this trip!

Hall artwork on our floor. The artwork at the Riviera is wonderful and you can spend so much time just enjoying this and the ambiance of this resort.

We watched the fireworks from our balcony. After this we got comfortable and streamed 90 day fiancé in the Caribbean.:hyper2: My bed was very comfortable and Andi said the Murphy bed was much better than a sofa bed. Our room was very quiet. I forgot to mention that the deluxe studio has a bathtub/shower combination in the bathroom with the sink. This is really nice if sharing the room with more people. Two people can be getting ready at the same time. My ankle was happy we didn’t go to far this evening. We also picked up the wheelchair from Bell Services. Scooterbug is the only company that Disney allows to drop off rentals without you being present. This is why we went with this company. If you want to use a different company you can, you have to be present at time of delivery. The wc was newer and worked just fine. It was relatively cheap for how important it was. I paid 60 dollars.

Stay tuned for our first full day in Disney! Wow, We love the Skyliner!
What a great view of the fireworks. I bet it was nice to rest your foot and just watch them from your room.

Hello Everyone,

I hope all is well! I made our dining reservations on 2/25 and I wanted to share our choices and a little more information on our F&G trip.
IMG_2022-2-28-164019.jpg

Our trips starts on 4/26, bright and early. We have a flight out at 5:40 am! Yay or Nay on early morning flights? We flew out late on our last trip and I can’t say I liked that better.

As much as I hate getting up at 3 am, I like the early morning flights better.

Our stay is at the beautiful Wilderness Lodge. This is our first time staying here. We tried to stay a few years back and our room was right above the Whispering Canyon and I will let you in on a secret, they do not Whisper!! It was so loud and when I asked very nicely to move, we were upgraded to Grand Floridian!
650863
This trip we will be in a nature view room, not standard, so I am hoping we will not be directly above the restaurant. I have requested a room on Touring Plans, fingers crossed 🤞 it works!

Our first day, I have a park reservation at Epcot. Our plan is to get a light lunch and drink at Geyser Point before heading to Epcot.

The evening, we will sample snacks and drinks at F&G! I’m so excited! I wish we were going tomorrow, lol 😆

We are still knee to hip deep(literally) in winter here and I am really tired of it!

The rest of our park days are as follows

4/27 MK with a dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe around 6 pm.

some. We may go to Riviera for lunch and a cold brew

I really want to try Trader Sam’s!
IMG_2022-2-28-164457.jpg

if we will keep this or do dinner there. I have a 7:50 ADR

as well. I also want to go to US again this afternoon.

do extra evening hours at Epcot tonight.

5/3 Epcot today with lunch at Via Napoli. Flight at 4 pm boo 😒

This is the tentative schedule, always subject to change!

I am looking forward to F&G, GP, Homecomin, lounges, warm weather and staying at WL.

I love early flights! Unfortunately I couldn't get an early flight for our March trip so we are staying at the airport Hyatt and then will head to Disney on Sunday. I will book an early flight in August for sure!
Our first day, I have a park reservation at Epcot. Our plan is to get a light lunch and drink at Geyser Point before heading to Epcot.
Awesome! The Cascade Sangria and the Huckleberry Punch are both very good!

That's what we are doing for St Patrick's Day!

4/27 MK with a dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe around 6 pm.
:lmao:

You don't want to be anywhere near it... unless you're in it!
I really want to try Trader Sam’s!
Me too! I've never been to the one in Florida. And while I had a tough time finding something to drink, I still enjoyed the ambiance.
Let me know what you think about our plans and tell me some of your favorite things to do on vacation!
Plans look good! :)

As for fave things... after all this Covid, et al, just leaving the house will be pretty high on the list!

I am really looking forward to doing Storybook Dining again!

I really want to try Trader Sam’s!
I am really hoping we do this. Even if you can't get into the actual space. you can order the drinks on the patio. Which we did once and it was delightful!

Our first day, I have a park reservation at Epcot. Our plan is to get a light lunch and drink at Geyser Point before heading to Epcot.
So, we are actually still in Disney this day but we have park reservation for the 26th at Magic Kingdom.

4/27 MK with a dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe around 6 pm.
And then this day, right now we are scheduled to be at HS and probably park hop to EPCOT before we have to leave. :(

This winter in Wisconsin just seems to be so much longer than usual even though in Portage we've only gotten a total of about 9 inches of snow so far. Anyway, don't forget to get to the PR around 1;30 to get in line for a reservation for Trader Sam's. You won't regret it. Otherwise have fun and enjoy the warmer weather.

Before I do quotes I wanted to show you my magic bands and shirt I had bought on our January trip. I love the Riviera and I bought this shirt in the gift shop there.
We really didn’t need any new magic bands but I love all the new designs, The Jiminy Cricket one is Andi’s and Minnie in pink with desserts is mine!

I thought about doing the Savor the Savannah tour but it is almost $400.00 for the two of us, yikes, very pricey for 2 hour tour and snacks.
If anyone reading this has done it let me know your reviews. It sounds really nice and you get a private Safari but wow, hefty price tag.

I love early flights! Unfortunately I couldn't get an early flight for our March trip so we are staying at the airport Hyatt and then will head to Disney on Sunday. I will book an early flight in August for sure!
I think I’m with you, we did a late flight in January and not a big fan. I do love arriving in Florida by noontime
Awesome! The Cascade Sangria and the Huckleberry Punch are both very good!
Thank you for the drink recommendations. I have heard from others as well about the Huckleberry punch!
That's what we are doing for St Patrick's Day!
This is a high priority this trip since we still haven’t been in Trader Sam’s lounge yet!
I really want to try Storybook dining one trip.
I’m excited to eat here again and there are several veggie options for Andi! It is also a plus it is right in the resort we are staying at!
Such fun plans! I love to hang at the parks, eats delicious snacks, enjoy a bevvie or two by the pool and meet up with Disfriends!
Thank you. I’m getting excited even though it is still about 45 days away!
Ugh... tough one.
Nay on getting up early... Yay on getting there early.
This is very true, I love arriving early! Getting up at 3am not so much! Lol 😝
Oh, I hear you on that.
The winter that never ends, ugh cold temps here for another few weeks yet, yuck,
Me too! I've never been to the one in Florida. And while I had a tough time finding something to drink, I still enjoyed the ambiance.
I have heard so much about TS and all the cool drinks but have never been!
Plans look good! :)

As for fave things... after all this Covid, et al, just leaving the house will be pretty high on the list!
Thank you! I agree about having plans and something to look forward to. If it would have been warmer in January I think that would have satisfied my warm weather crave but I’m so excited to go in April now!

I am really looking forward to doing Storybook Dining again!
I am as well, we really enjoyed this dinner in the past and I am so excited to see characters again at a meal!
I am really hoping we do this. Even if you can't get into the actual space. you can order the drinks on the patio. Which we did once and it was delightful!
We have had one of the drinks at the patio bar but I really want the whole TS experience!
So, we are actually still in Disney this day but we have park reservation for the 26th at Magic Kingdom.
Wow, you all have a nice long trip, that is awesome, bummer we probably won’t be crossing paths!
And then this day, right now we are scheduled to be at HS and probably park hop to EPCOT before we have to leave
Epcot snacks before leaving is always the best!

Our winter is hanging on without our usual warm up. We usually get at least a week or two of a thaw in January or February, nothing this year, ugh 😩
Yes, thanks for the info about TS and your TR review. We definitely will get there early enough to get on the list in the first wave, fingers crossed!
I hope it is 80+ degrees everyday we are there!

I might be wrong but I think Jenny Sanders is doing savouring the savannah tour this trip so she might be able to give you some info.
Love the magicbands and shirts 😍

Nice shirt and I like the MBs :)

I've done it and really enjoyed it. You get much more close time with the animals. The driver is very happy to sit and let you take photos while talking about the animals. The food was good and it was really nice to just chill while having some munchies. I'd do it again, but it is pricey. Only you can decide if the $$$ is worth it. It was worth it for me to do once... and I might do it again some time in the future, but don't have plans to when I go in August with DD. But now that you've mentioned it... I'll ask and if she wants to (and pays her own share) then I will.
This is very true, I love arriving early! Getting up at 3am not so much! Lol 😝

The winter that never ends, ugh cold temps here for another few weeks yet, yuck,
Yeah... I woke up this morning to more snow. I almost cried. Luckily it wasn't too much to shovel. (Maybe 1" or so.)

We tried to stay a few years back and our room was right above the Whispering Canyon and I will let you in on a secret, they do not Whisper!!

I've had more than my share of noisy rooms. I swear I attract rude neighbors. I'm going to start packing earplugs I think.

We are still knee to hip deep(literally) in winter here and I am really tired of it!
I'll bet you are! :( UGH! It was 73 here today, so no complaining from me!

I did it a few years ago and really liked it. Worth the money for sure! If though I had to choose between that or the Wanyama (not sure if they are doing that because I don't know if Jiko is open) I'd choose Wanyama- it's a safari of the Jambo savanah and then dinner at Jiko.
