The marina has reopened and has fishing and bike rentals.

Granted I’m relatively new to staying at CSR (only twice since GDT opened), but I must be an idiot because I had no idea there was a marina with fishing/bike rentals.

I think that means I need to book more GDT trips.

Always new things to learn.

I’ve stayed a few times and had no idea! …Admittedly I would never bike on a WDW vacation (I get enough excerise in the parks!) and the only interest I have in fish are eating them

I don't think the Marina area was open for years. I remember a long time ago when they used to have the mini speed boats but its been boarded up for a long time.

I may be staying at GDT in December and I read somewhere that there are tower rooms you can see the MK fireworks from. If anyone knows, could you tell me what to request and, if possible, if it's a choice on mobile check-in? Thanks so much. Looking forward to staying in the tower!

We’ll also be staying for the first time in a couple of months and I’m really looking forward to seeing the tower in person! We passed it a bunch of times and watched so many YouTube videos, (we had to cancel our first stay here last year when they shut down), so we’re definitely anxious to make it up!

Make sure to go to up to Dahlia Lounge! I highly recommend grabbing drinks up there but even if that’s not your jam the view (and Lounge) are gorgeous!

I only stayed GDT CL once but I loved it! Best CL breakfast hands down. And they had a fun selection of Spanish wines, some of which changed between afternoon and evening if I recall right!

I’m really looking forward to it!!! I’m anxious to see the reviews once it opens! I hope they don’t change anything too drastically. Well, the one thing I’d change is I’d prefer not to just have a beer and goldfish during afternoon snack, but if that’s all there is, I’m sure I’ll survive

It was always coffee bar then a regular bar and it was open all day. After re-opening due to pandemic, it was only morning hours for a while.

But not anymore! Still just evening night hours, but better than nothing.

Can minors go up to the lounge?

Yup. I’ve gotten criticized on the DIS for posting about this in the past, but DS11 and I often visit various WDW lounges (who has time to mess with ADRs?) and sat at the Dahlia bar last November. We had a great time and the food was excellent. I always tip extra since I’m with someone that’s not necesssirly contributing all that much to the bill, but that’s just my personal choice.

The only true age restricted place at WDW off the top of my head is Trader Sam’s at Poly after 8pm. Also perhaps places like Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance Hall. But otherwise, no worries at all.
