Having extasensory perception (precognition/retrocognition/clairvoyance) and empathy scares the living out of me sometimes. I use to shove it down hard and try to suppress it. I don't anymore.
My dad is a retired firefighter (was active and a lieutenant at that time). Even with all of his years and years of training, he froze when it was his own house. He tried to open the dryer and severely burned his hands. They recovered just fine, but it's not something he likes to bring up. Scary. But yes, it definitely happens. One of DH's best friends is a retired FD captain and he's told some stories. It's not irrational and we really should get the duct professionally cleaned.
I would feel exactly the opposite!Getting into a fatal or severe accident while driving. I'll feel much safer when everyone has one of the cars that drive themselves.
Well, not sure how old you are, but I remember the outcry in 1974 when cars had to have a seatbelt interlock, no seatbelt on, the car wouldn't start. It was gone by 1975, just a warning light and buzzer.Of course the accident rate isn't zero but far lower. The only question we should have as a society is how many deaths and injuries are we going to accept before changes are made that could drive the rate far lower.
Well the thing is, he asked if "Kardashians" are real and I said yes. Which made him cry, much to our confusion. Of course later I had to explain "Kardassians" aren't real. But then he wondered if I was lying, since I told him the opposite before.IDK, both are pretty scary

No distant relatives of any kind? Whether you know or care for them at all, If they exist and become aware of your demise, I believe they would have some rights if you die intestate. Not sure if that prospect makes it more or less scary for you.Getting my end of life affairs in order. I have no family and I have no will at this time. I am looking at different ideas as to what I'd like to do with my estate but I really need to just make a decision and make it happen. The thought of the state getting my estate and doing whatever they do with that type of thing really bothers me.
No, no family at all. I am looking at some organizations I'd like to possible give it to but I really need to work out the details in my mind first. I spend a lot of time saying "what if?" in my mind and it makes me not move forward. I have to just find a way to move forward and act.No distant relatives of any kind?
