State of Fast Pass Return (or replacement)

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but the website is very glitchy today and this came up when I refreshed a few times.

It’s being reported that lots of other travel sites are also not working today, like Expedia. The Travel Agent side of the Disney site is also not working. I hope it’s nothing major. (I know it usually isn’t, but it’s kind of in my nature to jump to the most dire conclusion.)

I Just came here to report that!!!! you beat me to it!!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞 hopefully this is good news!!!!

Just saw the same thing. When Remy was posting on this thread he did mention glitches with the website and MDE app as possible indications of testing (old FastPass+, new system, seeing how multiple platforms interact with each other)

When I click on “FastPass+” on the website I get a dwarves -working on it- page. Anything else I get a stitch -ate it-. *fingers crossed*

MDE is completely not functioning for me. I can’t view or do anything in MDE let alone log-in and view plans.
same here - dining was glitchy for me earlier today (although functioning) but now I can't login - at first I got an error saying my credentials were incorrect, but now it just constantly logs in and then redirects me to the login. I'm afraid a glitch like this means the new system is failing and it's going to be even longer before we hear anything :(
But here's hoping the pessimist in me is wrong!

I'd be more hopeful if other non-Disney website were not also having issues.

My work's Electronic Medical Record system (web based) is down. :( Nothing is working on the internet really well. Maybe one of the two major data hubs in the US is down.

Well, regardless it’s interesting to see FastPass+ so prominently featured in the glitched version of the site
The entire state of the website in that screen is just the WDW website from November 7, 2017 if you scroll over to check the parks/hours (still highlights Pandora as new). Same thing was common as an error at the inception of the park pass system

The one difference I see is that if you go to the app and search for “fast pass,” you’ll see “make fast pass+ selections” come up. You can’t click on it (or at least I can’t), but I don’t think that was there before.

That’s how it’s been working for me for several weeks now, nothing new unfortunately.

That’s been there forever for me. Just a dead link.

It was there before. That's one of the things I do every couple of days, search for Fast Pass in the app. I guess it's apparent I have no life.

I hope so too. I've gone to WDW for many years, and this year we booked a family trip in December. We are staying at AoA, a value resort, and I'd be pretty peeved (along with so many others) if the number of FP+ were reduced.

Not directed at you, but I keep hearing about "but the Deluxe Resort guests pay so much". My DH and I have stayed deluxe. I get that the cost per night is more $$ compared to most Value Resorts, but we are literally paying >$500 per night each for 3 rooms.

Just feels like as "on site" guests, we are losing any extras that we were afforded. If we go in the future we'll seriously be looking at Swan/Dolphin.
It's not cheap to stay at value resorts when you have a large family and need more beds. I agree that having to pay for FP's would definitely change the way I tour. Also, the park reservation system with having to have one for the place you eat, for us park hoppers is kind of a nightmare to figure out. We are also going to AOA in December and not knowing whether we are going to also have to figure out how to hop with 1. reservations for a park, 2. reservations for dinner at the same park, and 3. How to manage a ride system, whatever is in place, is getting to be a lot. If we don't eat at a park, it's a little easier, but when you have to figure out your transportation routes built around your reservation for the first park, yikes! Just please tell us what to expect. It would be helpful for us planners. And for the record, I love FP+.
