Tusker House Reopening June 20 | Characters Included

Now how about Boma? Much better in my opinion. No characters of course.

Most of the things I enjoyed eating are not there so it would not be worth it to me to go unless them bring them back.

Do you happen to know when the pricing chnages over from breakfast to lunch? 10:55-11:00 am?

I thought it used to be around 11am, maybe even 10:30am. I know previously they started putting lunch out on the buffet before the official switch. I presume with this method, they will only bring you breakfast. I would like to know the switch time too.

We are normally a first seating for Tusker House breakfast but without Fast Passes, I don't think we can waste precious time eating. Thoughts?

We usually do late breakfast, since we rope drop. It gives us a chance to ride some stuff with fewer crowds. About the time the crowds are picking up, we head to breakfast. Then we snack in the early afternoon and eat dinner whenever.

We were Sanaa fans for years until the chef/menu changed. The rice seems to be always undercooked and coconut curries are undercooked and tasteless; the bison masala and the dessert trio that included Chai cream were dropped. The bread service is still as good as we remember and is worth the culinary adventure.

If Tusker is sit down (not buffet) that would be a better experience for kids who love characters. We loved Hollywood & Vine as a table service vs buffet and the characters (we thought our infant would not like) were the highlight despite the social distancing.

However if you’re shooting for a nice relaxing dinner before sunset (check time) and kids love animals, then Sanaa would be a decent choice.

The 20th is our 2nd to last day and we were going to hop to AK after 2 and we’re going to wing it for dinner. I would love Tusker House for breakfast but can’t figure out how to make that work so I guess I’ll try for dinner.

We don’t do any sit down breakfasts, unless it’s checkout day and no parks (we end up booking late flights so we have a couple of hours in the parks). It would be too much food to ride say Everest or even Flight of Passage. We order breakfast/groceries from gardengrocer and eat in our room.

This is what we do, it works perfect. We get plenty done before 10 am and are ready for a break.

I don't sorry. If you go to the restaurant website and pick your day, you can see it opens at 8:00 and ends at 5:00, 6:00, or 7:00 depending on the day. If you are wanting a particular meal, when you are getting a reservation, pick breakfast and it will only give you breakfast times. Pick lunch and it will only give you lunch times.

Excited as this is our kids' favorite character meal. I personally hope buffet style is back by our trip next year, though. Only reason is that we like to book this one later in the morning so we get breakfast AND lunch for breakfast prices. I doubt that'll happen when family style. ;)

My daughter also likes being able to get macaroni and cheese with her breakfast lol.
