Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Does Ale & Compass usually serve lunch? I didn't think so but when I check for lunch reservations Memorial Day weekend, they have a bunch of them. I wonder if that's new.
As @HiStitch626 posted above they used to have lunch before they closed for the pandemic. They have not offered lunch since reopening.

They did offer Brunch for Easter and Mothers day so it looks like Brunch is on again for Memorial Day weekend.

We have the same schedule! Flight lands at 6:30, heading to BC in June. We plan on walking over to the boardwalk & grabbing dinner from the pizza window so the kids can stretch their legs & we don’t have to stress about ADR’s
do you know when it closes?

Right now it closes at 10 PM when the Boardwalk closes. Expect those hours to change as guests return to the Boardwalk area maybe as soon as Memorial Day weekend.

Is that what they have Memorial day weekend? I see lots of availability. Anyone have reviews of past brunches?

We were there for Easter - spring break but we didn't make it there.

Didn't mean to mislead anyone. I really thought I saw people at lunchtime in both December and April. Maybe they were just doing carryout?

I believe Big River Grill is open on the Boardwalk side of the lake also - and I don't think you need ADRs for that (I don't think they even take ADRs) but if they are too full, the Pizza Window would be a good back up....The Bakery also has a few sandwiches too....
We had dinner outside tonight at Big River Grille on the Boardwalk.

The view from our table...

Congrats on snagging a cabana. I got the last one for the day I booked. Full price is $318 . With a DVC discount should be around $265 ish.
I have booked in the past and it showed on my plans. This time I created a note in my plans with the confirmation number. Hope you have a great vacation.8-)
Ah. Ok. They didn’t give me the discount. I paid $318.

A generic :welcome: to everyone who has posted in the past week

I have been out of touch for the past several days- I was travelling with my son Nate from Massachusetts to Kentucky (by way of Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia). He will be working for the Idaho Fish and Game from June to October. He picked up a friend in Kentucky and they will continue on to Idaho, visiting 12 National Parks along the way. I flew home from Kentucky on Thursday.

🐻🐺🐾

I reserved a cabana in February 2020 for our summer trip (which ended up being cancelled by Disney when the parks shut down) and asked the CM to email a confirmation to me. I received a confirmation for the date, but not the specific cabana I had reserved. I replied to the email and asked for a confirmation of both the date and cabana number. I received a confirmation for both later that same day.

:welcome: and thanks for sharing your experience.

:goodvibes

Hope you've been able to add your day. I also have a cabana rental on 6/19! SW has also been messing around with my flights, luckily only a 10 minute change to arrival day, and they've delayed the return flight on 6/21 by an hour to 10:20PM so more playtime for me, but hubby has work the next morning!! I'm hoping that at least check in at the airport should be shorterr with later flights. I wish SW would just leave the schedule alone now, but I know from experience that sometimes they mess with it until the last week, and this is the first time I've been issued new flight numbers.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

At which resort are you staying?

:cool1:

I can’t wait to walk in on Opening Day & hear “Welcome Home!!”

:welcome: here!

When is your trip?

:dogdance:

I have some information about the boat to Hollywood Studio.

They are currently running four boats to DHS, starting at 8am for a 9am park opening. (We saw all four at once). One boat sits at Boardwalk, one at Yacht Club and one at Swan/Dolphin. The fourth boat comes in from the Epcot side of the lake and goes to the BW after the first boat leaves, then YC, then S/D, then DHS.

We crossed the bridge between the Yacht Club and S/D at 8:08am and the fourth boat was heading to the Yacht Club. The first three boats unloaded at DHS very quickly. The fourth boat got to the DHS boat dock just about the same time as we got to the temperature check point, around 8:26am.

As always, thanks for the excellent info!

Wow a great change to see National parks across the country. Idaho is great this time of year. Will you get a chance to stop at Yellowstone that is out favorite park after the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

I edited my post- I am not joining them on the rest of their journey. I returned home on Thursday night.

Nate is living quite the life! He graduated from UNH last year with a degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation, with a minor in Forestry. He spent one summer working for the Conservation Corp in Wyoming and just returned from a stint working for the Conservation Corps in New Mexico/Arizona.

Today is South Dakota. He and his friend will be spending 5-6 days in Yellowstone and the Tetons. I'm jealous of their adventures! We did have a family trip to Yellowstone in 2015, which was spectacular!

Yes, 6/12 - 6/19, first time back since 2019. Can't wait for our trip....hoping for sunshine but packing for June showers.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Which resort?

:cool1:

Hi all! Booking a last minute resort only trip 5/16-5/19. How can I see cabana availability? Is there a contact number to call?

:welcome:

I'll add you to the list.

Have a fantastic trip!

:woohoo:

I booked a last minute trip to BC today. I picked my check in day the day they open - 5/30. I plan on spending a few days at Grand Floridan first and then switching over to BC.

Does everyone think they plan on opening on time - 5/30? Should I have a back up plan in case they don't open?

:welcome:

I'll add you to the list.

As others have said, it is unlikely there will be an issue with the BC opening as scheduled, but if there is, Disney will take care of it.

::yes::

All Ears posted a fun video today comparing how long it takes to get to HS from BC/YC via the three different methods (walking, Friendship boat, and Skyliner). Skyliner came in dead last as I expected due to long queues at CBR’s transfer hub, but I was surprised to see the boat didn’t take much longer than walking.

Cool! Thanks for posting. I added this video to the Transportation section in Post 1.

Hi hi! Just got back on Thursday from a 5-day trip and we stayed at the Beach Club. We did not wait longer than 25 minutes for any ride except Runaway Railway. DISCLAIMER, I'm 15 weeks pregnant so I sat out some of the headliners, but here's what we rode in under 25 minutes:
- Kilimanjaro Safari
- Na'vi River Journey
- Space Mountain (didn't ride, but walked through the line with my husband and BFF)
- Haunted Mansion
- Pirates
- Peoplemover (!!!!)
- Winnie the Pooh
- Ariel
- Smuggler's Run
- Toy Story Midway Mania
- Frozen Ever After
- Spaceship Earth

Longer than 25 mins:
- Runaway Railway, but we probably waited 35-40. mins even though the app said 50. We were continuously moving the entire time, which made the wait feel shorter.
- Rise of the Resistance boarding group was called at about 1PM.

Also I never encountered a line for Stormalong Bay, and had no issue finding a lounge chair when I arrived (I usually hit the pool around 1:30PM for a break between parks :)

Hope this helps!

:welcome: to posting on this thread.

Thank you so much for posting this very helpful report.

Best wishes to you and your family in the coming months.

:goodvibes

We have been at BCV since Saturday. There are a noticeable number of rooms with the lights on at night on the hotel side, at least 15-20 easily seen walking over from Epcot. Have they started booking rooms already? I thought that the hotel was opening up around the first of June.

Just want to give you a :welcome: to the thread!

Hope you had a fantastic trip.

We’re planning on returning September 9-16. I could only get YC for the first few nights but didn’t feel like doing a split stay this time. So I booked BC but wasn’t too happy about that. Played around with some date changes & found I could get YC for the 9-17th. I work part time & DH is semi retired, so for the first time ever, we can be a little flexible. So YC September 9-17th it is!! Now if club level would just come back...🤞🏻

Any reports on if buses are being fully loaded? I don’t mean with people standing, just that all the seats are used.
