Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party-MNSSHP Watch-updated Boo Bash

It literally looks exactly the same as MNSSHP - except with a new name? What am I missing?

Either way, I'm excited!

I feel likes it’s a cross between an after hours event and MNSSHP, the best of both worlds but sadly without fireworks and stage show. I’m so excited, I went to purchase tickets as soon as they said it but then realized I have to wait until next month. 😂😂

Most "After Hours" events only included limited attractions and some treats......Hopefully, the price tag will reflect the lesser experience but knowing Disney...
Villains After Hours tickets were $155, so more expensive than the MNSSHP tickets. Regular After Hours were $129 (still more expensive, I think) I doubt Disney will reduce the price on any 'After Hours' event.

Does the fact that they have announced this fall "After Hours" event suggest, by negative implication, there there won't be any regular DAH events this summer? I sure hope not. But I guess it's not looking good.

I would assume there won’t be. It’s already May so I think it would’ve been announced by now if they were doing anything in early summer.

Hopefully all these disappointed folk will stay away and keep the crowds low. I am just waiting for the dates and pricing.

Edit: I don’t think it’s too likely, but really hoping one of the cavalcades is the Maleficent dragon. That was insanely cool when they had her out at night during VAH, we actually got to walk behind her.

Depends on the dates and price for me. Hopefully the info comes out sooner than the month they said in the announcement.

I think my top end would be 89$ per person with it only letting you in the park at 7pm. The other events were like 2-4 and you could just do a resort day and save a ticket so I feel it was worth the higher price tag.

We went to Villains Nights too and yes the Maleficent dragon was awesome! We are going to probably go too. 😊

I can not tell if this is Disney hedging their bets because they want to have something in place or if this is a massive blow to any near future return to normalcy.

I mean are people thinking its normal by October?

Reminder people be ready to not have fireworks, face to face meet n greets, and other aspects until sometime in 2022.

What do you mean by "if there is a capacity"?
If the parks are still at reduced capacity during the day, it should be easier to clear the parks with less people...?
I mean if the park is booked for the day how do they gauge letting people in. unless they build in a buffer to the park capacity those days.
In past ticket holders would hide in stores or wander around until they were really pushed out.

I don’t know, the fact that they’re advertising low wait times at attractions as a selling point makes me think capacity’s going to go way up this fall.

The fire breathing was always cool but way more impressive at night imo, especially coming down lit up Main Street.

They’re being pretty clear that it’s not a minused MNSSHP it’s a plussed AH. It will be priced as such.

Remember for AH events you literally won’t wait in line for more than a minute or two for anything. No lines for characters, no lines for candy, no lines for rides. The benefit structure is completely different from a party.

Most "After Hours" events only included limited attractions and some treats. This is actually a step up from those. It's no MNNHP but after the year we've all been through (and are still experiencing) I find this announcement to be uplifting. Hopefully, the price tag will reflect the lesser experience but knowing Disney...

I can't look at a watered down event that will most likely be more expensive than the event it is replacing as uplifting, but rather insulting instead. It's in line with the "do less but charge more" pattern that is unfolding within the parks.
