Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I wanted to use Garden Grocer to order some food and beverages for our room. In very fine print on the Garden Grocer website, it says that the YC and BC only accept deliveries after 4 pm. Can anyone confirm this to be true? I was hoping to have our order delivered earlier in the day since we are arriving around 11am. I understand that our room may not be ready, but I wanted to get settled with everything as soon as we are allowed in our room.

Did anybody ever reply to this? It's weird because if you go to GardenGrocer.com, scroll down to Resorts We Deliver To, and Click on Yacht Club, the available time windows are:
8:am - 12pm
12pm - 4pm
4pm - 9pm

I do see this in the FAQ on the Garden Grocer website:
*Yacht Club, Beach Club Resort/Villas, Boardwalk Inn/Villas, and Campground only accept deliveries after 4pm.

People order groceries from other companies, and I don't recall anybody posting that Bell Services would not accept delivery prior to 4:00 pm.

If it were me, I would call Garden Grocer to ask if this 4:00 pm rule is still in effect. When I joined the Disboards, people only mentioned two grocery delivery options: Garden Grocer, and a personal shopper service which has gotten many problematic posts so I do not want to mention it by name (even if it is allowed by Disboard rules). Since then, other companies have started delivering.

Another cabana question... I see the # of guests per cabana is 6. If I’m successful in reserving one, may I invite people not staying at Yacht & Beach to join us for the day? I think the answer is yes but just want to confirm.
The official answer is "No" at SAB at YC/BC. Your mileage may vary but plan for the No.

However at GF and CR you don't need to even be a guest of the specific resort to book a cabana.

Hello All! Thank you again for all of the valuable info on the YC. We are getting so excited for our first stay there in June.

We are here now and had a Garden Grocer delivery. Our expected arrival time was 5:30 pm, so I was fine with the fine print.I had a question for GG about alcohol delivery and they responded to my email within a few hours. As another poster suggested, just reach out to them. The GG delivery text was received at 6:01 pm. The order was perfect.

Our room assignment text from YC came at 6:20 pm. We were just getting off the ME bus at YC. If you want an early room assignment, I suggest making that your only request.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I tried to search! For Amazon/Whole Foods delivery that includes alcohol, can I have it delivered before I arrive at hotel so it is already there or do I need to be present?

We adjusted our dates slightly so we checked into the YC today after 2 nights at Riviera. We’ll be here til Thursday. We were a little taken aback to see this sign in the walkway outside the back entrance to YC:

Wondering if the clientele at YC has changed that much since we were here last month?! :scared1:

:lmao:

Have a fantastic time!!! (But behave yourself...)

If you have a chance, can you take a picture of any signage about the virtual mobile queue line for SAB?

Thanks!

The locked up lounge & empty club CM desk areas. So sad. View attachment 569025View attachment 569024

That is sad!

They could have at least put some salt water taffy on the desk or one of those space station coffee machines in the lobby area.

:(

We saw more dogs in the parks during our trip last week than we have seen since reopening. We also saw someone using a wagon in Epcot, which surprised us since wagons have been banned for a while now. We also saw lots of huge double strollers but I don't know if they exceeded the allowed sizes. And the ECVs are more numerous now that more people have been vaccinated.

Thanks for sharing that observation.

:dog2:

5210 was 2 queens, tub/shower. The couch may have converted to bed? Do they do that at YC? I can’t definitively remember. The couch is in my pics if you can tell by looking at it.

Thank you for maintaining such an active, up-to-date thread!

Thank you for the kind words and for the information about your room. Hopefully I will have a chance to add the room to the YC Room View thread.

Hello all, trying to catch up on reviews that I've been lax about. We stayed at YC over Easter break, April 3-8. I booked a standard view room and was given a room on the 5th floor, which of course got me excited for a few minutes, but the lounge was indeed still all locked up, sadly. We had Room 5199 which we really liked. Contrary to our stay at the GF in November where we booked LV and got a mostly-tree view, our standard view room at the YC was very nice. Looking down was the roof, but looking straight ahead was the resort and also the top of Epcot ball. To the right was the pool and Epcot. Very nice view for Standard and we'd happily take this room again.

Full tub and shower, loose bottles of shampoo, etc., keurig, daybed, full balcony, adjoining room.

SAB had long lines each time we walked by during our stay. However, once inside, the pool was not crowded. One time we had a table and 2 lounge chairs. Another time we had 4 lounge chairs.

B&C takeout window is still closed, and a worker inside said the health dept shut them down after they had initially opened because some of the workers near the takeout window had to be too close at times. So with the window still closed, the later reservations were being taken up by people who only wanted ice cream, which had a ripple effect of hungry people heading to the YC Market to get some food later at night, which led to long waiting times and lots of unhappy people. We opted to head down to B&C at 10pm on a few nights and they were always able to seat us sometime after that. However, it's a gamble and certainly not a for-sure thing that a table will open up. Side note: they disabled the walk-up waiting list because they were too overwhelmed with people wanting ice cream. Not sure if it was just during our stay or if it's a more permanent thing.

Mug refill station CMs were told all guests had to have mugs in hand to get drinks in the paper cups. They said some guests were sharing receipts. I wish they would give out paper wristbands or something when guests buy the mugs. It was a bit inconvenient to carry the paper cups and mugs at the same time, but we made it work.

Not a lot of Easter decorations in lobby, but cute what they had. I took pics. They didn't have the candy scatter this year but did a scavenger hunt for all ages (we loved it!). A lot of this has probably already been discussed, so I'll just post some pics.

Hi there, my DH and I are staying YC water view in June. I would love a view of the boardwalk (and lighthouse would be amazing) instead of a pool view ( I think that counts as water view also?) . What's the best room request for this, is there a certain section or wording I should use? Thanks!

"View of Boardwalk/lighthouse preferred"

:thumbsup2

We'll be staying at Beach Club June 6th-June 10th for fiance's work conference. Then we're switching over to Caribbean Beach June 10th-June 14th. Pretty excited.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Staying at a deluxe resort, especially YC/BC, has always been a dream stay for me. I have wanted to go to SAB since I first saw it. We have usually done CB or Riverside, but now since DH and I have a camper our stays are at the beautiful Fort Wilderness and our resort stays are over. Lo and behold my BFF and I have decided to do a Disney Cruise and then we conspired to add a few days at WDW. Now with looking at the prices for August/Sept 2022 I am pulling the trigger and booking YC or BC and am so excited. I know its over a year away but you can never do too much planning. :rotfl2:I am going to sit back and read the boards and dream of the day I am relaxing in SAB on a raft.

:welcome:

I'll put you on the Be Our Guest list for next year.

We will do our best to help fuel your excitement!

Thank you all for so much great information. I am heading to YC next week (YES) and really curious about the wait times to get into the pool. I spoke to a manager at BC today by phone, and she said that the wait times recently have not been too long - 15-20 minutes - with the understandable caveat that this varies by time of day and the weather.

Our weather looks nice and sunny (YES), so I'm a bit bummed about reports of long virtual waits to get into SB. Like many others, our family likes to take a midday break at the pool.

Any tips or ideas to avoid particularly long waits? Does 15-20 minutes sound right, and do waiting times spike around certain times?

Thanks in advance, and apologies for typos or wrong terminology.

FWIW, I am having GardenGrocer deliver to YC next week, and the only choice available in my drop down was 4-9pm. I made the order last week (so two weeks in advance). I didn't see the note that this was the only time available for YC and just assumed it was the only available time for my delivery date.

Just wanted to share for all those hoping to book cabanas. I had the number stored in my phone & watched the second hand on my clock & called just as it struck 7am. Once the recorded message moves to your options I hit 3 immediately rather than waiting to hear my choices. The next menu began in which the cabana option is just remain on the line. A CM answered immediately! I was able to book my first choice of date which is halfway through our trip. The same CM also offered to help with dining while I was on the line. I know many people have reported waiting on hold for hours so just wanted to share & hopefully help someone!

I used Amazon fresh during our last visit and had things delivered between 12-2pm. I got my order. I would be interested to know if this is still a rule and I inadvertently broke it.

The construction outside the Beach Club back exit is apparently done. Both doors were open this afternoon & no barricades are there. There is a lift with some power lighting still on the side, but everything seems back to normal. And yes, there do seem to be some new drains in the area.

It was open last Night and had plenty of people in it. To the people asking what time we have been going, mostly off times I guess? After 4pm for the most part. Plan to be there for more around prime time tomorrow so will report back if I experience anything out of the ordinary.
Quoted myself because I edited my post last night and never saved. Wanted the people I was replying to, so see it.

Thanks for the report. I didn't see the work in person, but man, the pictures were sure ugly!

Glad the work is done.
