Good luck to those still trying to secure their rooms! My June 18th Greek Isles cruise is showing now balconies or outside rooms (though holds will drop) and a $2300 prince increase on insides since Monday.
The 11 night Iceland has also increased by $2000.
I know that people have credits to use, but man, stuff is selling fast...
(and now my daughter wants a room on our cruise and ugh, getting one will be such a PIA).

I bet almost every reservation is using a FCC.

These prices are insane. We are officially priced out of DCL. We’ve got a 4 night on the Dream booked for next year and it looks like that’ll be our last for a while. I’m looking at five nights on the Dream for august and the cheapest is $3700 lol. Compare that to a 5 night on the fantasy in early Sept I had booked for 2020 with a balcony foe $2100.
It just isn’t worth it

I kinda knew this was going to happen, I read an article a few weeks ago that demand for cruising was going to be very high and there would be fewer discounts when it resumes.
I did have sticker shock for the cruise we booked, but its a third try and having the FCC helped with it, still $4,000 more than last years 11 night cruise at the same time with an extra day and stop added on.

I just wanna cruise again!

yeah I want to as well. Idk what we will do. We’ve got a baby now and the other lines don’t have the toddler facilities that Disney does. Looks like our cruise next year could be our last for a while until she’s old enough to sail with Royal/NCL.

I just can’t justify paying $4K for a 5 night cruise when I can pay like $2K for a 7 night on another line. Ughhh Disney

That makes sense because every cruise line has 100s of 1000s of FCCs waiting to be used. I know the cruise lines will never release the numbers but it would be interesting to know how many reservations were made using FCCs vs new money.

Our Alaska cruise was booked with both. We have FCC from our cancelled 2020 cruise that we first used on a 2021 cruise that also ended up cancelled. The FCC covered about 80% of the cost for the Alaskan cruise. So we will have new money that will be added, but there were no other 7 day cruises on the Wonder that we interested in currently.

We reserved the 11 not Baltic. Two adults = $15000 USD for a 6A

Azamara has basically the same cruise, in a suite, including drinks, tips and wifi for $13000 CDN. That would be approx $7000 difference.

I love Disney cruises. We have done many over the years but those prices .....OUCH!!!!

When is it enough... wow my seven night cruises for three are going for two to three more thousand compared to my 2021 Nov Merry Christmas seven nighter

So, is it really a FCC if the prices were increased by that much??

We opted for the full refund when our Sept cruise was canceled (we bought new flooring instead 😂), maybe that was the wrong decision but I didn’t want Disney holding on to our money with no interest for who knows how long.

I was chalking the increase in prices to a summer cruise vs our normal Jan/Feb time frame. Now I wish I’d taken notes of the prices.

Truthfully, they will have to see a real slow down in sales before they stop raising prices.
Your right... my Disney stock has never been stronger and I will continue to buy more as well as other cruise stocks. We have DVC and that really has been pretty awesome overall to for savings. I am in California and when I would purchase the annual pass I would laugh at the price compared to cruises. We as a family do all right but pretty soon those cruises are going to be for the super rich.

The prices are definitely higher - we had a 9-day Caribbean booked for 2021 that got canceled before our PIF date (which we had not PIF yet). So, we got our deposit back but didn't get the 125% FCC. Today we booked the same cruise in a 5A (we had a 5E before - so better room). The one for 2022 is coming in about $500 more for the 3 of us for a step down in cabin category. I was actually expecting it to be worse. I think a LOT of people have FCC they are trying to use up and that has contributed to the prices and booking!

The FCC is definitely a factor, as well as general pent up travel demand and relatively high consumer confidence levels now that the vaccine rollout is well underway. But for some of the longer European cruises on the Magic, 2 staterooms would want cost the same price as chartering a whole yacht to the Galapagos! For larger, well-off families, I'm not sure there is any value proposition in DCL even if you can afford it.

According to Disney a 5E is a worse category as the midship ones without a white wall are preferable to many. 5A is supposedly the "best" of the family verandahs before you get into the 'deluxe' ones.

Interesting!!! We have paid more for 5E than other verandahs - and verandahs are amazing!!

The 5A is $358 more for the 3 of us than it was when we booked this morning!! Why does that happen? Does that mean that the rooms were cheaper when platinum and gold booked as well?

Yes. The prices climb as cabins sell. Platinum booking gets the cheapest fares.
