Question about the CC Cascade Cabins. We are trying to figure out sleeping arrangements, and in the second bedroom we will have one adult in the queen bed and would like to have one more adult stay in that same room but not share the bed (mother and grown son). I don't think either would be comfortable sleeping in the twin fold out, but I didn't know if there was enough room to put the mattress on the floor. Any thoughts?

We stayed in a cabin in 2018, and my thought is an adult might be able to use the fold out twin. It is a decent bed. I don’t think there would be room on the floor though.
I don’t know how many other people you will have, but there is a sofa bed and a chair that makes out into a bed in the living room.

Just wanted to report back on our stay in a 2-br @ CCV from Feb 18-24th - it was WONDERFUL in a nutshell!

I had requested room 5131 through Touring Plans and we received 6127 which is the top floor and I have a few pictures! Ummmm, but they're sideways - how do I fix that?

We DID see the water parade from our room! I was a little scared that DH wouldn't be impressed with this room since we were on the top floor and we didn't have an open balcony but instead had the solid one so you had to stand to see over, but he said he's always wanted to stay in one of these so SCORE one for me!

We were also @ CCV in Dec and received a room overlooking the BRV/quiet pool and while I liked the location of room 6127, DH did say that the "lights that were on all night @ the pool shined in at the top of the curtains so it wasn't a totally dark room and the other room overlooking the quiet pool we didn't have that issue" - so there is that...however, he did agree that this room location was better - there was one less "right turn and additional hallway" to go down to get to this room vs the Dec room.

I placed a Dizzy Dolphin order (with wine) and they were FABULOUS and it was a super smooth delivery - I uploaded my drivers license to them ahead of time so there was no issue holding the alcohol @ bell services. We had 5 bags of groceries/water and borrowed a cart to bring up the food and our luggage which was super convenient! :thumbsup2

We LOVED our breakfasts at Roaring Forks - while we were there they changed the pick up process - it started off that when your order was ready you went into the room "on the right" to get both your food/drinks/condiments but halfway thru the trip they changed it and you picked up your food in the room "on the left" and then walked to the "room on the right" to get your drinks - so now you're dealing with 2 different people which was awkward (an unorganized) and on day #1, you had to tell the drink person what drinks you ordered..but by day #2 it seemed a little more organized...

Boats were always super fast and we had lots of "boat karma" - buses were a little slow - going to DS, we waited almost 30 minutes. We did notice that for every ONE park bus there were 2 buses running to/from Ft. Wilderness which was odd - literally in the 30 min we waited for the DS bus we saw FOUR buses to Ft. Wilderness!! They must have bus issues bc a family took the bus from the Fort to WL to get on a MK bus bc there were NONE showing up over there... :confused3

We got into each park ~ 45 min early - it was GREAT!!

I'm ready to go back but sadly, none are booked - yet!

I’m happy you had a great time! Great pics, thanks for sharing!!

As far as straightening the pictures, go back to your camera roll and fully rotate them, save it, and then re-post it. For some reason it straightens them on here!! But they’re just fine sideways, too!

I'm doing online check-in for CCV. AM I seeing correctly? The only two room request options are 'near lobby' and 'near transportation'?

If you want more flexible options you will need to work with Disney. Are you renting, paying cash or using points? Each method requires a different process.

I assume you're replying to my question. We're DVC using points. This is our first time at CCV, so I'm not sure what the other options are, which is why I asked.

Great then you can make your room requests directly via DVC Member Services.

Once you have your room requests compete with Member Services don't select any options when you do the online check-in step.

General location options based on your room type. Near elevator, floor 1-7, view (depending on your category), quite room (end of the wing area).

The laundry room is on the 4th floor if you have a Studio.

The room requests that you see at online check-in are never great. Sometimes there will be requests that don't even apply to your hotel.

As PP mentioned, since you are staying on DVC points, you can contact Member Services to put in a request. (I assume they are your DVC points and not someone else's.) Contact them by phone, email or chat. After you contact them, ignore all requests at online check-in because you don't want the online requests to override your specific request.

I should have been more specific. Long time DVC members, home resorts OKW, BWV and Poly. First time at CCV, so I'm not even sure what to ask for view wise. We have a one bedroom. I'll check page one for help, but if anybody has any good suggestions, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I, personally, prefer a Courtyard view. You can see the pool, waterfall and water in the distance. Here’s a link to the CCV board... if you navigate over to Page 1, you’ll see some room views for One Bedrooms. Might help a bit.

CCV/WL is beautiful! Enjoy it!

I could hear the Electrical Water Pageant from my CCV 1-bedroom, and found it to be surprisingly loud. As in "What the heck is that?????" loud. If you have people who go to bed early, keep that in mind. Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of my room number (which is not like me).

We ate lunch at Geyser Point this past Thursday and they no longer serve waffle fries. I loved those fries. But that won't stop me from heading there on every trip. :).

They were refurbishing the pool slide when we were there. They kept the rest of the main pool open while they worked on the slide.

That stinks about the waffle fries. It was nice not having the standard fry like everywhere else.

I saw a report on another thread saying that they had heard the WL-FW-CR boat had returned to operation.

I am skeptical of this report given the second hand nature of the information and that I haven’t seen it reported elsewhere, but figured I’d ask.

Anyone recently there/there now that can give a first hand report?

Thanks.

I’m not sure if I already asked this or not my memory is not good lol. Do they give mug refills at Geyser Point?
