A. Correct - don’t select anyone, just click Join on that page. Don’t even look to see who has been selected.
B. Since you are not even going to click Select All, don’t worry about it. If he doesn’t have a ticket or a DHS park pass reservation that day, he won’t be selected. But again, don’t even take the time to look at who’s selected and who’s not! Just click Join-Join-Join quickly!
So what I'm understanding is, the day of only those with reservations will be automatically selected and so I should have no worries regardless.
Just trying to be sure because if one it the party didn't have a reservation I would imagine I would go to the not so fast page, right?

On the day of, everyone in your party with a reservation will be pre-selected but don't take the time to check, just click Join, Join, Join. If you hesitate to check you will not get a BG.

If by chance someone in your party does not get a BG, visit the Guest Experience team at DHS and they should be able to add the guest that was missed.

Even if you have people on your list with reservation who won't be riding, keep clicking and get a BG for all. Stopping to remove them will cancel your chance of getting a BG. BGs are filling in 2-3 seconds at each BG drop.

We will arrive just after 10 AM. If we miss our time, can we come to the park and try again for the 1PM slots, or does the missed slot count as your ride for the day? This ride is my number one priority for the week. Trying to get as many chances at a BG as possible. Thank you for the quick replies!
Even if your time has gone past, I would still try to ride. I have missed mine because of a dining reservation, and they let me ride later. And technically I COULD have gone to HS and then back to the restaurant outside of the park, but I didn't want to and just took my chances. I think they are super flexible! I would say, I couldn't get here any earlier. You aren't lying.

Successful practices at both 7am and 1pm today!!!!

I've been using the "AT-AT alignment" method, and after doing it that way a few times (previously I started from "My Queues" because of having to scroll down to find the AT-ATs and join button), the more I prefer this method.

I think the main thing was realizing that the app would "remember" the location when I minimize and maximize it, so I wouldn't have to fool with scrolling to the correct position in the final seconds.

AT-AT Alignment method?

I've heard one person suggest that you should delete all friends and family in your My Disney Experience that are NOT going with you to ride RTR in order to make the process of getting an RTR Boarding Pass quicker at the 7:00am rush. I really hate to do this, but am willing if I need to. What are your all's thoughts?

You don't really need to do that. When trying for a boarding group, ONLY the people on your friends list that are IN THE PARK at that time will be checked automatically. You don't need to take the time to select anyone. Just hit "next" immediately.

No one will be in the park at 7am, but I suspect also only those with park reservations for that day will be checked automatically?

Yes. 😃 you're right. Having a park reservation now is the equivalent of being in the park for the 7am drop. At 1pm, you have to actually be in the park, though.

No need.

I have dozens of people on my friends and family list. Did HS two days with my husband in January, one day in September with my daughter. All three days only the two of us with an HS reservation that day were chosen as party members for a BG.

If you stop and read or consider anything on that screen, you will likely not get a BG. Just hit the blue button whenever it appears. If there is an issue with having the correct people chosen, GS can fix the issue much more readily than they could get you a BG.

Call Disney and have them connect you with an IT person or do it at Guest services while you are there before your DHS day. It should automatically pick the people in your party with a valid ticket and park res. but we did have an issue in January.
In our case, it picked everyone in my friends list that did NOT have a ticket. :headache: Thankfully I was able to go to guest services on our DHS park day and get a boarding group at 1 pm.

But none of us will be IN the park at 7:00am.

Had some issues getting a BG this morning. On cell with good speeds, newer iPhones and seasoned pros at getting BG’s. My wife and I were logged into our MDE and when clicking join right at 7 (with time.gov pulled up on the laptop) we both got something went wrong errors. Tried again and both got you are not in the park errors. I tried again and kept getting something went wrong message and I got this 3-4 times. My wife was able to select everyone in our MDE account then unselect who wasn’t going to the park and get BG 34. Also what was weird is that normally our whole party with park reservations would be automatically selected and this wasn’t happening. All of this occurred in about 90 seconds. Feel like we got super lucky today as my sister and her husband didn’t get one.

Today's practice was a little odd in terms of how how long the bg window remained opened. I went back and forth many times till almost 40 seconds in, and could get to the last screen. Also, at the last screen, the message was not 'No Park Reservations Found' but rather 'Is Everyone at the Park' which is different than the usual 7 am message.

Even from a practice perspective, it was a different kind of day. Glad you got yours, but sorry that your sis and her husband couldn't.

This also happened to me this morning. I do have a HS park pass today but got a message stating “everyone in my party needs to be in the park and to remove me from the list”.

Wow sounds like a glitchy morning. Hopefully you can get your sister and her husband added to your group inside the park.
