A ton of ADRs are now open for Nov-Dec!

I would think they will reduce the walk-in slots they have for the times they are overbooked in ADRs by this snafu
let's hope they do something like that and don't just try to pack us in like sardines, because honestly I will walk out and go hungry if I have to (that's a bit dramatic, but I would rather settle for a mediocre burger than be at 100% capacity because they don't want to hurt peoples feelings, it's just not safe right now especially with rising cases)

I totally agree...or they may use an overflow area like they did at MK for Liberty Tree Tavern...not sure where though...
 
I made multiple reservations that morning. Just got email cancellations for 2 out of 3.

Sadly I gave up other reservations for these ones and now I'm left with nothing on both Thanksgiving day and NYE. Current open reservations are pretty bleak so back to camping on the reservation finder.

They're offering a $25 gift card for the inconvenience so it's not remotely an even trade, IMO, but it's something.
 
I changed our arrival night dinner to our preferred restaurant, but did get the message back from Disney that there was a glitch and that reservation has been cancelled - $25 gift card to come.
I was able to go back and get the original non-preferred restaurant, so we still have a place to eat but just got kinda excited we thought we could sneak into the other spot! :-)

During the glitch window, we also added one reservation that did not get cancelled so it must have had plenty of availability.
 
I made several that day but I made all of mine well after 2pm eastern time. So far none of mine have been cancelled. I’m curious to see if mine are real or glitch reservations.
 
Same for my two new and two modified . I have replaced all but Hollywood and Vine. Just not at the ideal times .
 
Were the cancellations just in park cancellations? Or were any of them Disney Springs? I made a Homecomin' reservation at 4:40 that morning and thus far it seems to be sticking. I am fully expecting it to be cancelled, but it still shows in MDE and I haven't gotten any emails.
 
Been hold now for three hours... Wasn’t able to replace anything I lost so far. Probably because our trip is in a week? But most was popular places like Hollywood & Vine and Sci Fi. I set up reservation finders on every site I could find so fingers crossed!

This trip was a switch (and our first WDW visit!) from Disneyland after rescheduling three times due to the closure (and overanalyzing everything the governor there said regarding theme parks which is enough to drive ya nuts haha) so I came in late anyways and I never imagined dining would be so crazy! Guess I’m just used to how laid back Disneyland is.. and the limited capacity doesn’t help. I’m so frustrated. Oh well, just gotta learn to let it go... says me as I continue to just sit on hold like a dog with a bone.. 😂

I waited 4.5 hours before I got through. I had a CRT (a special treat for my two youngest) I canceled during the glitch (when I got a "better", but not real, time) that I never got a cancelation e-mail for, or a refund... if the reservation was gone, I wanted the refund... and I was still hoping that meant I had it. Nope - and I'm trying to let it go, too... LOL... 4.5 hours and they said it would also be a few more days before my refund was credited.
 
I’m still on hold... starting to wondering if it’s a waste of trying to see if they can give us the old ressies but sounds like some folks have had luck so I guess can’t hurt? Going on 3 1/2 hours now waiting lol! We’re a party of two just shove us in a corner somewhere...

What happens if you’re still on hold when they close? Does it just kick you off or do they stay past closing to finish calls?
