UPDATE on page 8 Taking dh to urgent care tomorrow

SIL texted a few weeks ago to say that she was taking BIL to the ER as he thought he had a kidney stone.

He ended up being diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. It was very serious

He needs to see a medical professional.

I agree with several others who have said a trip to the ER is warranted. The symptoms are too vague and could be any number of things, ranging from relatively harmless like a UTI to very serious, such as sepsis or acute kidney failure.

I'm inclined to agree with the others.

None of us can diagnose something like this via the DIS. We're good, but we're not THAT good. And probably none of us could figure it out even f we were looking at your DH in person with some medical tools to work with.

But if you're concerned enough to post here -- with an appointment tomorrow --it might be a good idea to either go to an ED or to a 24-hour walk-in urgent care.

Likely kidney stones.

And don't rule out covid. You can have many symptoms and coughing is not always one of them. Ironic I know since that's what they initially said the main symptom was.

Why not go to the ER now?

Also whether you decide to wait until tomorrow or go tonight I would not go to an urgent care. Nothing against urgent cares, but I think your husbands symptoms surpass their abilities. JMHO, hope everything works out without stress for either of you.

The urgent care could end up sending him to the ER then you will have two bills. Most health care facilities will work with the uninsured regarding billing.

is this the same urgent care that treated him for a UTI even though he didn’t have one?

If he is getting worse you need to head to a hospital sooner rather then later. A stop at an urgent care clinic could lead to them sending him to the hospital for further tests and analysis, which could be an added expense in the long run.

It could be a kidney infection (the symptoms do fit)
Have a look at his ankles, if what’s happening involves his kidneys, the ankles (wrists, face) will be swollen if this has been going on for awhile.

I did a tele health visit the doc was super good I was surprised they did not tell me to go to the ER. I paid $12... I found used them on Google

When did the bleeding start? Is he on any blood thinners?

I would be highly concerned with the negative UTI test. He needs to go to ER now due to internal bleeding.

Also, agree with others, Urgent care will send him to the ER. Then 2 bills. Urgent care can also be expensive
