***Official September 2020 Thread***

oh my gosh lol I’m glad I’m not the only one that was doing / thinking this exact same thing..... When I plan my trips for the hot months I’m like short shorts And tank tops In the thinnest material I can find, always have my hair up, In some sort of comfortable walking sandals...... I just don’t see how you do anything other LOL
LOL seriously! I wear shorts and skorts in Disney that I don't wear at home because they're shorter than I like and my legs aren't pretty, but down there I just don't care. The goal is to remain as cool as possible even if I don't look cool 😂

I know what you mean I have friends that never wear shorts because they say their legs look bad and I’m just like I don’t care it’s hot!

Thank you @CruellaNY for your report. The only thing that will stop us at this point is if either our state or Florida put any type of travel restrictions in place. So far we are good. I am always drenched down there. I never pack any makeup and my hair is always up in a ponytail. I don't even try to mess with trying to look good because I know the heat will ruin that fast. We are very anti-mask but follow the rules and wear them. DH does not want any pictures of us to look back on in masks so that is another thing that will be different. Usually we have hundreds of pictures of us. We are not telling very many people that we are even going because we don't want the lectures. We will wait until we are home for a few weeks and then tell people. Going to be a different trip for sure!

I get the feeling of not wanting tons of pics in masks - totally valid. It was a major part of the reason we decided to move our wedding reception to next year because I just couldn't stand the thought of all my beautiful wedding photos being of guests in masks - it's not how I want to remember a happy occasion, and it's not like we're going to forget about coronatimes. Does anyone know if lowering or removing a mask when stationary for a pic as been allowed? (On-ride photos are obviously unavoidable although I think those will be pretty funny!)

Also understand not wanting to tell people but they can save their judgments - anything is a risk right now, and there have been no major outbreaks linked to the parks which have been going overboard with safety precautions so you should be fine. Still, well within our right to not open yourself up to unnecessary and unwelcome scrutiny - relax and enjoy your trip <3

We are finally set after 3 moves to go in September. Lost all my dining reservations with the last move. HS is booked and hopefully we can get at least one back to Olgas... Ready to visit WDW

Happy anniversary! We are going to celebrate 24 years the week we’re there :)
and I literally just booked a 2 o’clock reservation at Ogas that week:) I was really surprised there was anything for five people, they had another one too at noon but I want to get when it was hotter part of the day...... Crazy thing is I first put in for only two people and there was no availability

We are now a party of 5. BIL and his GF will be joining us for the first 4 days. It's getting pretty serious so this may be the last test... will she like WDW. The real surprise is DS who is 24 will be joining us for the first 4 days as well.

DS does not like theme parks and played football until last season (signed with 49ers but had to immediately retire medically). I get not wanted to go at 320lbs (OL) but I was really surprised when I pitched the idea on Sunday at dinner and he quickly said yes.

Trip is going to be a blast!!!!

I totally hear you on this; where I am we've had to wear masks in public earlier than most other states and regardless of how one feels, it's pretty much wear one if you want to go anywhere :)

I get this too! I struggled; the decision to go also had an affect on my business (and luckily a good one) but one never know these days. I carefully chose the wording I used and the pictures I shared while down there and didn't post anything before we left alluding to the fact we were going. It's sad these days that we have to think about all this instead of just being happy we can travel again!

Do they sell the groom mickey ears in the parks? I'm wondering if I need to get them before our trip or if we can just wait and save the shipping

I've seen the Bride and Groom ears in the parks in the past, I imagine they still have them but if anyone's seen them recently (or not) feel free to correct me.

Well...after going back and forth for a few months now, last night made final decision and I am going as planned in September! My flights have changed several times by the airlines, but still at this point in time have a non stop which is what I really want.

My DDIL has decided to join me as well, she purchased her flight last night with SW for $148.00 RT from Dallas! Was able to add her to the Resort reservation link her ticket and get all park days reserved. Even happened to obtain Topolinos breakfast, SHOCK.

As others have said we are doing some nice TS in the parks and at DS while there, will be a foodie trip! A more relaxed pace trip I hope and looking forward to getting away, yet not quite as excited as previous trips.

You sound so happy about you son being able to join. That made me smile. My youngest daughter (25) also surprised her dad and I when she said she wanted to tag along on our September trip. She has not been to WDW since 2012. That was our first trip EVER and she never really wanted to go back. So, I am happy she is going (fingers crossed we get one of the alternate studios @ CCV).

36 days to go!!! We usually fly in early in the morning but SW got rid of a lot of flights in September (mainly non-stop), so for the first time we are flying in the evening on the day before, on the only non-stop flight and arriving around 7:30pm. We were able to add a night at Pop. So excited! Now we will be well rested for our first day, when we are usually exhausted from waking up so early.

We still have 47 days :( but with DS18 moving in to college and DS14 starting school again..........in some way, those days should go fast! I am totally more excited for this trip now that we've already been post-opening :goodvibes

But yeah @tinkerbella16 those flights! We had our departure flight this month changed by JetBlue but luckily it worked out in our favor; when we were down there we got word our departure Sept. flight was cancelled and we were not happy with the one they moved us to even though all are direct. So now to make it easier we are just flying in the afternoon before we originally were!

For those that are still going and had park hoppers, have you cancelled them or are you waiting until closer to your trip?

I'm torn between cancelling now and waiting. When do we need to cancel them by?

Indeed. He's never been. First time I got his mother to WDW was between football games in Florida, FIU one Saturday and UCF the next. She never went because he never wanted to go but she can sing every song and is a huge fan.

She was giving me crap about missing work for a week on the ME until she saw the first topiary. First night was dinner at Cali Grill timed to the fireworks and she was seated facing the castle. It was magical. We've been multiple times since then and AP's.

This might be the first real vacation all of us have been on since he started high school. HS Football (in Texas) and College football are full time jobs.

I have a trip 9/8-12 and haven’t canceled my PH yet. Honestly I don’t think we will go :(

SW changed our flight to much later in the day and Spirit canceled our return Flight altogether and there’s no good decent priced alternative. I did call to see when I actually have to cancel by and it’s not until September 1st. There’s a part of me that just can’t let go.

I'm 32 days out. I tried calling last week. After 30 minutes on hold I gave up. I don't know when we need to cancel out park hoppers.

Also I purchased an 8 day ticket. But due to flight changes I'll now have only 6 days in the parks. I wonder if Disney will change my 8 day with park hopper to a 6 day...

We have 7 day park hopper plus tickets for our mid September trip. Last I talked to a CM, they recommended waiting until check in to get the tickets changed and get the refund of the extra. They said "we aren't sure what September will bring or when the park hopping will be possible again."
