CoP. I think they should end in the 80s at Xmas (and keep the time jumps kinda on track), rather than keep chasing what's next to keep it relevant.
Speedway, what Doc said.
Gran Fiesta Tour. Go back to the old way of firms paying for stuff and get it sponsored by Patron, widen the route and make it a party boat. I would never leave.
Buzz. Move all the targets round again so people have to find the 999,999 target. Or make it random. Muwahahahaha.
Soarin. To something that, you know, works.

Went for a run. 3km in 25C/77F heat.
Thought it'd be slow, but was first run with last two K being both under 6 minutes. (First was 6:27 though)
Goal now is a sub 18minute 3K. Still haven't done a 5K but I've been waiting for the kid who would be mad if I did it without her.

Wasn't expecting that...was trying to stay out of it so the other guys could chime in.

I've made my feelings about windoze very clear. I'm not a mac fanboi, but what I do like about them is they just work. Bought one for wife years ago because she kept crashing her system and then calling me at work thinking I could fix it. After several unsuccessful tries to tell her I have to be at the system vs over the phone, I finally gave up and got her the mac.

If you're just surfing and email and such, a low end PC with Linux would work as well. What I love about Linux is I can do more with a low end PC than most folks can do.with wondoze on a high end PC. What I mean is Linux is way more efficient and not a memory/cpu/disk hog like windoze.

There are several variants of Linux that are user friendly even for a non IT person and I'd be happy to help you. Not trying to convert you, but I think you'd be pleasantly surprised in what you coukd save in bothhardwarwas e and software costs.

Edit:
One of the main reasons I don't like wondoze is they've designed it to try to do everything and when that happens, it tends to do all of them poorly. It also makes it much less secure and more prone to viruses and attacks. Both mac and Linux are much less prone to viruses/trojans/etc. and don't require you to reboot constantly.
Interesting read!
I should point out that my hearing aids pair very nicely with my iPhone, they do not at all pair with my laptop.
hence you're thinking of iPad?
"Don't be afraid to start over. You aren't starting from scratch, you are starting from experience."
I like that. :)
DO NOT buy HP. They used to be good and low cost, but now they're just crap.
Concur 100%.
Trouble with that one is the return key sticks a bit when you are posting..... ;)
Me and Mrs went out to dinner for first time since this mess started, all good with distancing and process and nice to see our bartender / server friends.
Was nice to get out again, right? :)

1. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover - Just rename it to WEway PeopleMover.
2. PotC. Return the Red Head!
3. Barnstormer. Gawd, just do anything with it.
4. Speedway. Speed them up. Quite a bit. Put Adaptive Cruise Control tech in them so they can't bang into the cars ahead of them and stagger the departures a bit so you can actually have fun on them.
5. Space Mountain. Far too rough. Replace the track.
Sounds like a great day
Not bad! Tiring, but good.

Dupe.

One other thing I just thought of though...

DO NOT buy HP. They used to be good and low cost, but now they're just crap.

Did you just recommend two Windows based laptops. 🤯

Disagree with you on HP. We use them at work and they are great. That being said, we do buy higher end laptops than you would typically see at Best Buy.

Nope, post were too short.

1. WEDway would be good.
2. Forgot about that...I guess reversal of a bad update would still be an update, so yes.
3. I like it for kids. Not nearly as bad as primEVIL hurl.
4. I like the cruise control/speed up idea.
5. ::yes::

COP - the final scene. Dated and just not forward looking.
Speedway - I'll join in and agree with it needing changes. Electric, cruise, more speed. All great ideas.
Soarin

Not sure what else as it has been too long since the last visit.

I'm with Doc. Many of the changes I haven't liked and that was several years ago. Still crushed that Fountain of Nations won't be there if and when I ever get back.

Kinda tough since many of the changes I haven't liked...nostalgia, ya know?

First one not hard---
Space mountain. Hurts my back now. Not sure if it's just wear and tear on the cars or me just getting older.

Speedway. Electric cars would help get rid of fumes, but still keep the joy for little ones.

Jungle cruise. Some of the animatronics could be better now.

Spaceship earth...oh wait, they already are.

IASM - gut it and replace instead of SM
Nah, guess we can't count that one since some of you crazy folks like it.

Peter Pan flight...the tracks are showing their age I think. Not bad, but I can feel the clicking in joints.

As one of the crazy folks...leave IASM alone. Not because I love it but for the nostalgia and the memories with DD who did love it when she was little. Not a big fan of change in case you haven't figured that out about me yet.

Yes it was plus we gave the ladies a bit of an extra tip since we have not been out since beginning of March. They could all use a couple of extra bucks

I found a bit of silver lining for me today. As I re-configured the house, our bonus room upstairs is my man cave, but really, where all old furniture goes to die. So, there's the 20 year faux leather couch, 18 year old faux leather different color recliner that doesn't recline, 2 bookshelves of different sizes, a computer desk, a tv stand, a desk (mine as teenager), matching dresser, 4 drawer file cabinet, toy box, a cedar chest, 2 light stands, and my tennis stuff. It's a combination of everything DW and I owned separately before we got married, and outdated, broken, or mismatched furniture I pushed upstairs.

In the process of figuring out how to get all that in the room, I now have my old stereo with CD player hooked up, Sony Playstation with Mortal Kombat, and the Wii. What a time travel today - lots of memories. Can anyone help me remember why I stopped living this way?

So how did it work out?

Don't get me wrong. It's a lot of money. And a LOT of money to lose. Yet... that's a lesson that, after saving for a decade or decades might save her tens of thousands. Might be a bit more cautious in the future.
I guess... better to lose $5,000 now than $50,000 in 20 years.

No boats. We ordered pizza instead.

As for money, I see $5000 and move that 42 years in the future and see $320,000. Even if I could have talked her into investing $2500, then it's $160,000. That's the curse of long range planning.

Wow. I'm sorry she's going through this. It's probably the hardest thing to do as a parent--sit back and let them feel the consequences of their own decisions. Let's hope it brings positive results. We all know failure is the best teacher.

We're planning on driving to Ohio this weekend to visit my brother's family and their newborn. A bit nervous about it considering all the virus numbers are climbing again.

I don't know if failure always work. Heard about the phenomenon "learned helplessness". Have a fun and safe trip.

As I read recently, "Don't be afraid to start over. You aren't starting from scratch, you are starting from experience." If you went through the pain you might as well learn the lesson rather than having to repeat it. I know some people who never learn from their mistakes.

Exactly. I also don't want her to learn I will bail her out. I did tell if that if she goes again, then don't expect me to move her stuff back inside the house. I'll give her a place to stay a few nights and feed her, but I'm not participating in a life with her full of bad choices.

Sorry to hear about all the issues but as others have said, she's safe and back home and hopefully learned a tough lesson

Thanks. I just hope the lesson works.

I need a drink. Phone rings a couple of hours ago and all I hear is sobbing and what sounds like my son. After getting him to take a couple of deep breaths I manage to get hit a moose and he isn't far from home. Off we go to help him not knowing what to expect.

Luckily he's OK but the car is obviously seriously damaged. He had calmed down by the time we got there but was still pretty shaken up. Looks like the moose landed on the right side of the windshield and then down the side. Thank God he didn't hit it square on. Hug your kids tonight guys.

Morning guys from a Wet n Wild London. No, not in that way. The weather.
I'm being dragged into a horrendous p!ssing contest between a few directors. I need to tread carefully over the next few days.

Jesus, that must have been a shake up for all of you. All the best to Declan mate. Good to hear he's come out of it OK physically. Sorry about the motor.
Can anyone help me remember why I stopped living this way?
Because you enjoy Chicka Bow wow time, and you assumed it would be on tap for the rest of your life if you gave up the Ps2/3/4. That's why we all give up living as bachelors. And then we end up back at it.

Seconded. Unless Disney want a Curly Haired Ninja on the warpath in the Imagineering building.
Pizza > boats.
I knew American portion sizes were large, but Pizzas bigger than Boats? I'm in. No pineapples.

Have a great day chaps.
