Things to do after the park closes for the day?

The way I read the new dining info says you must have a confirmed dining reservation if you are NOT and overnight guest. To me, that sounds like we will be able to make reservations at other resorts.

If I’m interpreting that wrong, I hope someone will chime in.
DH and I have a room-only reservation (at Riviera) in a few weeks and had no trouble making a dining reservation at Grand Floridian. The cast member reminded me that we'd need to take the bus to Disney Springs and transfer if we didn't have a car, but said that if we drove the reservation would allow us to park at GF.

Did you make the dining reservation online? I wasn't aware I could start making dining reservations.

At the moment resort reservations can only be made for resort stays through 7/10 by phone. Disney springs reservations can be made online up to 60 days in advance or through open table. No word on when they'll open up online reservations for resorts and parks...likely after the 6/28 folks can make park reservations...so hopefully sometime next week?

Got it, thats the impression I had from reading the various threads. Thanks for the clarification.

Right now they are being very restrictive about making dinner plans. They are not allowing you to make dinning plans at other resorts that you are not stay at. For example if you are staying at the Poly you can not make reservations to eat at BLT. They are limiting the reservation to those staying at that specific resort. That is why the DS reservations are the only ones you can make at this time.
Your information is inaccurate. At this time resort ADRs are not available to anyone after July !0th

Even though you can't make dining reservations at the Boardwalk ( still as of today ) I would check at the Dolphin or Swan. They are also right on the boardwalk but not park of the Disney brand so they may allow a reservation.

I also read that the Fantasia Golf Course ( mini golf ) will be open and it's also within walking distance of this area.

Just tried to make ressies for dinner for our first night as just within our 60 day mark but all need credit card to secure - normally this would be fine but (assuming the Brits are allowed in) we might be very delayed due to extra checks at airport etc and I wont be able to cancel if I am still in the air! Will wait a few days. Availability times werent great though - already nothing for later in the evening.

Reservations for Disney Springs or at one of the resorts? Looking at the disneyworld website I still only see availability for Disney Springs reservations when I arrive on 7/11.

Just for Disney Springs at the moment - since posting I have booked 3 restaurants at DS for later in my trip (we are going for 16 nights) - waiting for the rest in resorts/parks to come available. Latest time I could book was the ressie at T-Rex for 8pm - rest closer to 7pm). Guests going soon can booked now (arrivals to 7/10 - so you just missed out on that for now)

Yes, Fantasia Golf Course should be open now. :)

Is the mini golf course generally easy to just walk up to and play? Or should I look at possible reservations?

I know that they are taking reservations, but I have no idea how busy they normally get or how busy they have been lately. I can't imagine a reservation would be hard to get the day or week of, but you could get a reservation if you're not so sure.

This morning, they start taking reservations at Disney resort hotel restaurants if you had previous reservations that were cancelled. Most likely starting at 7 am.

There are several dinner shows in the Orlando area. We are going to the rock dinner show where they have lookalike/soundalike singers. The entertainment has good revues, the food not so much.

Are the resorts doing movies under the stars now? Or has that been stopped as well?

That was always a lot of fun.
