This is going to be a long post, so thank you in advance if you make it all the way through :) I am just looking for input, suggestions, and any advice related to the plans I have so far for the hubby and my upcoming 10th anniversary celebration.

A little background, we eloped in 2010. I always knew I wanted a Disney wedding, but we were flat broke when we got married, so we did a courthouse type deal. I have never once been dissatisfied with the way things happened, and we often remark how we are glad we didn't try to have a huge wedding and incur a lot of debt to do it. That being said, we also didn't have a traditional proposal, we just kind of discussed it then did it. Fast forward to 2019, we are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, having a drink in the Victoria Falls Lounge, when he gets down on one knee, pulls out a ring, and asks me to marry him again, this time at Disney World, for our 10th anniversary in 2020 (actual anniversary date is December 11, 2020).

I started planning in January, with a prepared budget of $6,500 (not including resort stay and park tickets), and actually found some decent things we could do, both at the Swan/Dolphin and officially through Disney, but when talking with our families, none of them would be able to attend. We decided not to go through with it, as we could use the extra money to either have another vacation to Disney World, or maybe have a nice trip to Aulani (we have been there 3 times and love it).

Here is where I'm looking for input, suggestions, and advice:
What we DID decide to do, was to still celebrate our 10 year anniversary at Disney, with some of our closest friends who are able and willing to travel with us. I have already booked Port Orleans French Quarter for the anniversary dates, and am really excited about it. We have stayed in many of the hotels, but just recently tried Port Orleans and fell in love with it. We really love that boat to Disney Springs. I was thinking to have a nice celebratory dinner at The Edison on our actual anniversary, and pay for all the food and drinks of the friends who traveled with us. We are also planning to do some Disney Bounding in the parks, and to get some cute group photos that will make great memories.

What other special things can you guys recommend to make this trip special? We don't mind spending a little money, since we are saving on the ceremony itself, but obviously not as much as we would have spent on a ceremony. We are expecting 4-6 friends (couples) to join us on the trip, so we will have a maximum group size of 8. I think that may actually make things easier for getting dinner reservations, etc, as I can just reserve regularly and won't need to do a private room or anything like that. I really appreciate any input or suggestions everyone has. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

Well, I'm always a big fan of ordering a cake! At Port Oleans it is a little trickier to get ahold of anyone because they don't have Private Dining, but I have the number and lots of information here: https://disneytravelbabble.com/how-to/order-cake/

If you're dining at any Disney-owned restaurants, you could also have the cake delivered there.

Otherwise, these two episodes of my show are full of honeymoon/anniversary celebration ideas:

Thank you for the tips. A cake is a MUST DO! I am thinking we may all eat a nice lunch in the parks one day, so this would be perfect.

I'll also have a listen to the podcasts today while I'm working. Thank you so much <3
