For those trying to time the opening date for HMH and the start of the OBB: do a search on this forum for the Halloween Time Superthread for the past several years. The first page of those threads should have the start dates for Halloween Time and the party dates for that year and the year before. You should be able to find dates going back over the last 5 or 6 years at least. That should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect this year if Disney doesn't throw us a curve ball.

We are attending Sept 5 to 12th.
Any adult or no small kid people going that would want to ride a few rides together and be super silly? Maybe even do Chewie mode and Wreck the Millennium Falcon?
Hubby and I are childless.

Possibly!! H and I are also childless, but we will be there with family. However, we have no intention of staying with them all the time ;-)

Current situation allowing, we (my wife, 2 boys 9 and 11 and I) will be arriving from New Zealand 30th Aug - 12th Sept, staying at Springhill Suites near the convention centre with a 10-day hopper pass. We last visited in 2016 when the boys were younger and didn’t want to do any of the rollercoasters / bigger thrill rides but this time they’re very excited for them so it’s going to be full of awesome new experiences. Plus of course SWGE and Avengers Campus that will be new for everyone.

This time we are also planning the Blue Bayou fantasmic package. I have never been to the BB but it has been on my bucket list since first riding PoC in 1992 so that is going to be a real highlight.

After that we head to LA for a week for outlet shopping at Citadel, Universal, Griffith Observatory, Hollywood and that sort of thing.

This sounds like so much fun! I'm going to look into this for my own trip now. Thanks for the tip!

Steve, your boys might be interested in the Endeavour space shuttle at the California Science Center. My husband and I saw it two years ago and it blew my mind that it had been actually been in space lol We are bringing our boys to Disneyland in September too, and will be taking them to see the shuttle. I think our 9yr old is more excited about that than Disneyland lol

We have plans to come at the end of September! Our first trip to DL (we are WDW Vets) I have tickets to see a-ha (mostly known here for Take on Me but they are so awesome  , they have so many more great songs than TOM, I went to see them in Paris in November and we went to DL Paris too, see my TR below if interested) at The Wiltern on Sept 26th so we will be in that area from the 24th till the 27th and then we will be coming to DL for a few days after that Probably staying until the 1st. I am really excited about seeing DLR all decked out for Fall/Halloween. I love WDW at that time of year. My DH hates Halloween but I love it, I am thinking about going to the Oogie Boogie Bash even if I have to go solo. Still looking into where to stay, leaning towards Paradise Pier.

Interesting news for those traveling through September 7th:
From this week's MP "DLR Update" (3/23-29/20):
Disney filed a permit with the city of Anaheim to allow them to keep the Food & Wine Festival Marketplace booths in use through September 7, 2020. We have no word from Disney about their plans, but an extended Food & Wine Festival would definitely help boost repeat attendance at Disney California Adventure, especially in conjunction with the opening of the Avengers Campus.

If this happens, we'll miss it by one day 😢

If this was truly for food and wine I would get to do the last 2 days.
I highly doubt Avengers Campus opens on time. All construction stopped last week.

From the DLR Closure Superthread, details on the DLR hotel special offer for those rescheduling trips:

I saw on one of the bloggers Instagram stories (Disney Food Blog) that the Disneyland offer for people rescheduling is:

“Beginning Monday, March 30, 2020, these select guests will be able to book a special Disneyland Resort offer for most arrival dates from June 1st through December 31st, 2020. The Cast Member we spoke with said the offer will apply to weekdays, Sunday through Thursday. Eligible guests will receive up to 10% off at Paradise Pier for a Premium Room. Guests booking at the Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian Hotel can receive 15% off a standard room or 20% off a premium room!”

Moved my April trip to September. New dates are April 26th - 28th staying at the Candy Cane Inn then heading to San Diego deciding if I'll add a couple days on the way back but hotels are $$ due to gay days. I drive from the bay area so I like to break up the drive to and from San Diego by stopping over in Anaheim.
