Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

I really wish there was a way of knowing how many groups they're giving out each day. It would make the time to fill backup groups figure more meaningful, especially if we knew whether any groups did not get called.

They beat their best 9am open by 10 and their best overall by 6. Not too shabby, considering that there were two downtimes each lasting 75-80 minutes. But even with that they were efficient enough to make the runtime count.

Combined with DHS today, 310 groups marks an all time high as well, with DHS tying their best 8am open.

Now we begin 6 weeks of 8am-midnight days (unless things change due to health concerns). It will be interesting to see how things progress over what has to be a mini-trial for the coming summer season.

That would be nice for sure. I try and keep track by checking Twitter and other social media to see what the highs are that are posted, but it's spotty at best. It does seem that on days when they stop early and there is no indication of breakdown, that all groups have been called. I have yet to find a BG number higher than what was called on those days typically.

Last night 153 was the highest they gave out, according to a CM I know that we bumped into In SWGE.

I'm not sure if you can unlink them, but my suggestion would be to create a separate DL account and scan just your ticket into that account. I would think that would be easier than linking and unlinking your tickets purchased through the app.

Just confirmed that on iOS pulling down on the “Boarding Status” screen is not causing a network call while backup BG’s are available. I do not recommend that as a technique on iOS.
Good tip -- thank you for posting!

Backups still available! Come on...you know you want to...
Ahhh, the siren call...

71 has been called at 12:46 PM. This is the last regular group.

Backups finally out at 12:35

Groups called after 11AM appear to have a 2 hour return window, while groups called before 11AM appear to have had a 1 hour return window.
Unbelievable about the Backups! And very helpful observation about return windows -- wonder if this is the new norm.

I want to add that the reason I did the "My Status" method at park opening was because I started to NOT get the red/orange button on the screen after "Find out More" when I was playing at home a week before my trip and that screen does not refresh, at least for me.

It seems that different phones/platforms react in different ways/timing and practicing a little at home beforehand will go a long way to make you more comfortable and I highly recommend that.
I totally agree with this sentiment. Every phone is a little different and a little practice can make the difference between being calm in the face of an error and freaking out and missing it altogether. Additionally, as we are seeing the updates do change the behavior of the app, so it is a good idea to practice in the days leading up to a visit.

But best practice for those who have not had the chance to figure everything out, though, the thing that seems to work with the most phones for the most people, is to wait until OPO to tap FOM. And if no joy, tap MS. And if no joy, maybe go back and forth once or twice to see if you get lucky and if not close out and start again. YMMV.
You both make very good, important points. Practicing from home, even just a few times before your visit, can make a big difference in your comfort and confidence level when you try for reals.

Exactly what we were told 2 days ago . We were holding a BG 18 , and didn’t get back until about .........oh , 7-8 pm . Still no prob , got right in .
Just one word of warning ....... if you go past your BG # calling , it will dissapear , so TAKE SCREEN SHOTS OF YOUR BOARDING GROUP #’S !
Adding this to page one!

I bought my family 4-day hoppers through the app. We're arriving quite late our first day and everyone wants to sleep in.

I'm probably going to go to DL solo on our first day because I'm the big Star Wars fan and eager to be there at rope drop.

The app has us all listed when i have done boarding group assignments from home.

Can i still "unlink" the rest of my family if they don't have physical tickets yet by entering the park on the first day with me?If so, can someone give me some step by step instructions on how to unlink them, and how to relink them in the app? And, can i practice this before i leave?
I'm not sure if you can unlink them, but my suggestion would be to create a separate DL account and scan just your ticket into that account. I would think that would be easier than linking and unlinking your tickets purchased through the app.
Agree that @tsumgirl's suggestion sounds easier. If, for some reason, you can't create a separate account, then look at page one, post one (FAQs) for information on how to unlink tickets from your app.

Hey guys, this thread has been awesome to follow along but I haven’t been paying as much attention lately. I have some friends going either this Sunday or this Monday, for one day only. Will arriving at security 1 hour early be enough time to get in before OPO? They’ll be walking from a hotel. I plan on helping them from home to try for the boarding group. Thanks!
