Was monitoring today for fun ... back-up groups in 44 seconds at 7:00:44

We arrived in the parking lot at 6:18, tapped in the park by 6:36. My phone did not detect the opening of BGs this morning, but boyfriend’s did. We ended up with BG 60 today. No scheduled events until after hours at MK tonight so we should be ok.

6:31 through bag security
6:35 tapped in
6:41 Coffee obtained (from stand right in front of tapstiles)
6:44 Sat on bench in front of Anaheim Produce on Sunset (not rope-dropping anything today)
BG43 on cellular, no glitch today! Had husband and friends trying from home but my phone got through first this morning.

Im now convinced from my previous theory that it is now set to switch to backups at 1 minute after opening regardless

I just noticed something in the chart the last 11 days

9 of those 11 are when the reg bg were gone in a minute. It has also been 11 days since they dropped the number of regular bg below 100.

The range of bg is 77-105...and yet earlier in the month it was taking much longer to get to 130 regular bg.

Now yes they are releasing fewer bg so they could be gone in the first minute but they also could be giving regular bg to everyone who gets in that first minute and backups to everyone at 7:01. I think it is far too much of a coincidence that, however many regular bg they assign for a given day, they are gone after 1 minute. Dont know about the 2 outliers either.

Not sure what i think here. Thoughts?

I hate to ask this really dumb question but I’m so confused!

We will be there in early July and DH and DS are huge Star Wars fans so this is our top priority!

When you open up the MDE app is the Boarding Group option right there after the castle/fireworks or are you clicking into the make fastpass section?

Completely agree. Park feels quite a bit more crowded this morning than yesterday, on to back-ups at the same time both days...

I made it thru bag check with a backpack before the other 2 in my group made it thru the no bags line

Happens to us all the time at HS. We’ll load a couple of people with the bags since none of us carry that much in, send everyone else through the no bag line and quite often, the bag carriers make it thru quicker.

Yes, it seems that way. Perhaps a back-up but most days they get through a significant chunk, if not all of those. Good luck!

everyone logging in at opening time are getting a bg. Remember that a low number backup bg is the same as a regular one, aside from a few days since it's opened (yesterday included) they have been getting through most if not all backup bg.

they have some recovery guests from yesterdays awful performance, also the ride may have had a bad night during the maintenance. Backup BG start at 71. That number indicates they are not confident in the performance today

We got BG 29! Our 9 yr old DD got it on my husband’s iPhone 6s (on LTE, no WiFi) while the 3 of us were simultaneously trying.

Note: we all turned off our WiFi. It seemed to be really slowing down our phones.
2 phones were on Sprint, 1 on AT&T. The older phone on Sprint won.
