I think at the fast food places your driver places your order at the drive thru. I don’t think they have a system where like the restaurant receives the order after you place it. If that makes sense lol

that’s about right lol a driver has to drive there. Place your order wait for it to be made and then bring it to you. Maybe a little less time depending on how many drivers are out.
Not an expert on all the inner workings of fast food and delivery apps, but I have watched the process at my local McDonald’s that has Uber eats. The driver goes inside and picks up the order just like at any other restaurant. They didn’t order it when they got there, they just let them know which order they were picking up and went on their way. The app transmitted the order to McDonald’s and they started preparing it. That being said, I use door dash quite frequently for restaurants that are rather close, and that I do not feel like walking in the cold Newport wind to pick up, and I generally always get my food faster than the estimated time when it is a close restaurant.

Uhhhhh..... :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Most shocking quote for those who hit a paywall...

“I still haven’t been forgiven by God for the covering up I did last year,” one of the employees says in messages from 2018, apparently in reference to interactions with the regulator.

“Would you put your family on a Max simulator trained aircraft? I wouldn’t,” one employee said to a colleague in another exchange. “No,” the colleague responded.

Does anyone remember seeing a post about offers for using an MR, UR and Citi points on an Amazon order that triggers a discount? I thought I read it here but can't find it in a search so checked DISchurner and couldn't find it there either.

I’m not familiar with door dash but I figured since we will most likely be getting a CSR I should see what’s around us. We would prefer pickup but only 16 places offer that compared to the 54 that deliver. I’m a little confused why places like Burger King, Chick-fil-A, and McDonald’s deliver but don’t offer pickup. Am I missing something?
I'm confused by the hole deal, I have read so many conflicting things. I think I'm back to square one, clueless.

I guess Dh and I will have to make do with whatever is available for pick up. We don’t do delivery. Seems pointless to pay for. Most everything is within 2 miles of us

Totally new to this and not sure if I'll be able to keep up with the thread pace, but worth a try... Any suggestions and advice welcome. Posting info mentioned on pg1, but let me know if other info would be helpful.

Current Cards that we've had for years--
Chase Freedom (use for regular spending)
Chase Disney (don't really use much because the rewards are pointless)

Recent ones we have opened--
03/19 Ikea Projekt
03/19 Lowes

*There's a "You're already approved" message for the Chase Sapphire Preferred (60,000 bonus points) plus an offer for $600 for Chase checking and savings that I noticed when I logged into my Chase account.
  • What amount of spend would you put on a card monthly? $2000 regular expenses-- could increase if we used cards to pay bills (I usually pay utilities and things from my bank account). More when we are using for home renovations or travel.
  • Do you currently payoff your CCs in full every month or do you carry any balances/pay any interest? Never paid one penny of interest
  • What airport(s) do you typically fly out of? Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh
  • Do you have a preference of Frequent Flyer program? No
  • Does SOUTHWEST Airline service your airport? Yes, I think
  • Do you have a Hotel Rewards program preference? No
  • Do you currently have travel points or miles in any program? (if so, which programs and how much) Just flew on American Airlines for Christmas. No other points accrued.
  • Who does your travel party consist of? Depends on trip-- either just me and spouse or also two teens, occasionally adult daughter as well
  • What at your specific goals for churning credit cards? (i.e. Disney World Trip, Cruise, European Trip, Cash Back to pay-off a mortgage or student loans, etc. - you can have multiple goals too!) Cash and Travel. Within the last year we have drastically reduced our expenses (downsized by half) and increased our income. We are saving a lot, but another motivator for making the change was being able to travel more.
  • When do you plan to take these trips? (Keep in mind that it can be difficult to earn points/miles to cover imminent travel...it's best to plan far in advance, especially with regards to international travel) We are planning a family trip to the NW (Washington, Oregon, Calif) in July. A trip to Rwanda (next summer). We have several other future trips, but nothing set on those (Europe family, Hawaii with my parents, something tropical as a couple)
Welcome to the thread! I'll send you an invite to our DISchurners group. You're definitely going to want to catch up on some of the chatter regarding small biz cards before pulling the trigger on your first card!

You're confused by the hole? I can catch you up...

First Haley started trashing the muppets...
This hole just keeps getting deeper...

Then she self-banned herself because she realized she had committed high treason against America's greatest patriot:

So we sent her to the new Shun Hole...
The shun hole! It’s a darker more grim version of the corner!!
Then she lost her way yet again...refused to go in the hole after trashing the muppets again...so somebody pushed her in...wasn't me!!
Actual footage of @Haley R falling into the “Shun Pit” while clinging to her dislike of muppets...

Well...I worked today. I worked hard today. I worked from Midnight to 3am last night on a deal, met with a prospect late this morning, rescued another deal from the grave at 4pm...

And I wasn't here AT ALL and that made me sad! Missed you guys, and I totally didn't post on like 10 straight pages with stinks. Thanks for keeping it going without me!!

Anyone successfully open a Chase business checking account online and receive the bonus? I'm seriously considering the $500 bonus offer but don't want to spend an hour sitting in the bank .

I think you forgot the very real footage of me sledding down into my hole

I've seen this too. Our McD's has a dedicated pickup area for Uber Eats orders. I placed a mobile order once and went in to get it. I couldn't tell where to go so I walked over to the Uber Eats area and the worker tried to give me someone's Uber Eats order to go deliver lol.
