We have been in our house since oldest DD was a couple months old. It was never my dream home, we always thought we would move some day. It is only 1375 Sqft, though it does have a full basement. When I decided to stay at home after kid 3 we stayed put instead of upsizing. I once wanted a bigger house, but am ready to downsize now, even though our house is tiny already. My mom just moved into a 2 bedroom condo and I would love something like that. Her sqft isn't that different than mine, it is just utilized better. I am not fond of cleaning, lol, so I can not even imagine having to clean 4000 sqft.

If you can afford 4000sf, you can afford a cleaning service. Lol.

This is my one complaint about paradise errr Captiva. I get a bunch of bites when we are there.

Hey, now, a dollar is a dollar and I actually go to McDonalds. Ever since I was in grad school, McDonalds has been one of my go-to places to get work done. When the kids were little, I could read/edit while they were in the play place, and even now it has three of my top requirements for getting work done out of the office--wifi, plenty of seating, and self-serve soda refills. So I will take that dollar! (Which means I probably don't have that offer.)

Ok - well other than the poor communication by Disney regarding when parking would open, how and when to join boarding groups, etc - the RotR opening has apparently gone well. Boarding groups have worked effectively. It sounds like people are waiting between 30-60 minutes before getting into the actual ride experience (which is 15 minutes).

I'm piecing together our flights for our trip to DL next summer and so far I've got 4 different confirmation numbers for 2 of us to fly r/t. I still need to add 3 more r/t tickets once we get our first batch of SW points. Can SW merge different flight confirmations into one confirmation once we are all booked to make checking in easier?

Not always. We don’t have room in our budget for a cleaning service. Most of my neighbors have cleaning and mowing and bug spray and plumbers and everything else that we do ourselves. But they’re mostly two income homes. We live on one income. We bought an older home that basically needed a gut job ( that we’re doing ourselves...).

We mostly only get sandhill cranes and other birds. We’ve seen the occasional tiny alligator in the retention ponds but nothing scary. I like all of the little lizards that show up in our lanai. The gnats have been horrible lately though. Our whole backyard is swarmed with them and they’re so small they can get through the lanai screen

Living in northern MN we consider the mosquito our state bird. This thermacell seems to work on both mosquitoes and no see ums.

Wow...daughter just asked me an hour ago or so if I knew anyone who had successfully done this. She's got 40 plus nights but not the required 50 yet. Let us know what you do. I did read up on the procedure last year but let it go.

Lol I WISH they cleaned the shower. My SIL gave them to me when DD3 was born. I said all I wanted for my bday was something to make my tiny shower like a spa, and I must say she delivered. I only used them when I had a newborn and shower time was especially precious, but they were great then.

@Haley R you will be back to baths before you know it! But at first they might be tough to manage, at least on a regular basis. And yes, nursing tanks are excellent for pumping.

Just caught up here. It’s been an emotional roller coaster of a week for me. My grandmother passed away and the funeral was yesterday. It wasn’t a surprise and we’d been waiting for her suffering to come to an end for a very long time now. I told my family I was going to cancel our weekend trip to DLR and they all insisted that I don’t do that. So, now I’m sitting at the Centurion lounge waiting on our flight. This weekend is our 23rd wedding anniversary and we are traveling with friends. I’m looking forward to the distraction.

Well, all I've done is submit the request to be contacted by the hotels. Hopefully it's easy and I get the nights before the 1st of the year.
I've read that some hotels have the ability to book everything online, the hotels in our area don't have that. She might start checking to see if it's possible.

We definitely benefited from being Platinum.
