For those of us noticing a delay in Amex offers crediting, it's a good sign if the offer is no longer showing in our offer list, correct? Means it is at least processing...?

Also, just wow on how fast Chase offers are crediting these days!
Yes, assuming it disappeared before the expiration, then it means it's processing.
I did an MR offer on fuel going or coming from New York. It took until this past week for my 400 MR's to post. Took 5-6 weeks to post.
Now that you say that, my last one that posted promptly was the Spend 40 on fuel get 400 MR x3. That was 10/30 or 10/31 and the MRs posted 2 days later like normal. Maybe it's just something with November charges and hopefully it doesn't become a normal thing.

I called the Chase application status number and it said my CIP is approved, so I’m definitely happy about that...but it was only approved for 5k. How am I possibly going to meet an MSR of 5k with that? :confused3
Since you have 90 days to meet MSR I assume you are looking to use a larger purchase to satisfy the requirement? If you need a higher limit to do that and have another Chase business card, you can request to move credit from that one to this new one. Do you have a CIC or CIU, or even a co-brand card like SW that you can draw from?

Does your cruise also go to Cartagena? My parents did one a couple of years ago of the Canal and they loved it. Side note: when I was 10, we visited my uncle in Panama and went to visit the canal. I decided to become a civil engineer because of the canal. It is a beautiful, amazing feat of engineering.

It stops in Cartagena....

I'm probably being over cautious, but anyone else have second thoughts about enrolling in Rakuten's program with AMEX to receive MRs? I don't love the idea of giving them my AMEX password and usually draw the line at that, but this one is tempting.

Hi all, it's been way too long since I've checked in here. My work situation doesn't really allow for time to be on the boards during the workday anymore so I'm really, really far behind with no hope of catching up. I did have an amazing trip to Disneyland at the beginning of November and barely spent any money out of pocket thanks to points (lots and lots of points)! Anyway, I miss everyone here and wanted to say hello and hopefully I can make more of an effort to get back on here!

Yes! I do have a CIC, but I had previously reduced that limit and still use it, but I suppose I could reduce it more? I was just getting comfortable with instant approvals for a large credit limit, so this sort of surprised me.

Are your credit limits getting close to 50% of household income 70-80K with Chase ?

I pumped the gas at Sunoco on the New Jersey turnpike on the weekend of Oct18-20. The points didn't credit until last week. I also rec'd a credit on my account for an 'Amex mistake' - I have no idea what the mistake was as the credit was 12 cents.

I called the Chase application status number and it said my card is approved, so I’m definitely happy about that...but it was only approved for 5k. How am I possibly going to meet an MSR of 5k with that without exceeding a reasonable debt/credit ratio each month?

That's the same limit my DH got on his card approved last month. I put a $5000 charge on the card, the SUB has already posted, he's got his points and I got my points. I did make sure to make a $95 payment before 12/1 to make sure I didn't exceed the $5000 limit to account for the $95 AF that would post on that day. Do you have plans to hit another cc soon, is that why you're questioning the debt/credit ratio?

I've noticed for us that the Chase biz cards have lower limits than the personal cards. For example, last year I got a SW Biz with a CL of $5K, and a month later I got a SW Priority with a $22K CL, and the income info hadn't changed.

I did it when they first offered it last year. I guess I figured I could change my password if I was worried about it. I haven't had any problems and the accumulation of MR's is really nice.

You could temporarily. In this case you want to make sure to ask that the credit be moved from one account to another, not just reduced like when preparing for a new application. You'd send a message from the CIP like "I would like to move $X,XXX of my credit limit from my Ink Cash (card ending 1234) to my Ink Preferred (card ending 4321)".

When you are done with your large purchases on that card, you can move the credit back to the CIC if you use it more.

Also keep in mind that Chase business cards don't report to your personal credit report so credit utilization on those cards won't affect your personal credit score.

Disney+ is worth it for me right now with The Imagineering Story. My husband has even got into it after being ambivalent at first.

Mandalorian is fine. I like that it is more authentic feeling and not all CGI. Although we have waited to watch with the girls and it is hard to understand what is even happening because the three girls the entire time are "what about Baby Yoda?" "Is Baby Yoda going to be okay?" "I just need to hold Baby Yoda." So we are trying to watch it but the interruptions every twenty seconds over the health and welfare of Baby Yoda is making it a little difficult. :)

Checking in (finally) again after a somewhat lengthy absence. Life got in the way between a wedding (I’ve always referred to DH as DH before we made it official after 9 years :)), work (DIS is now restricted grrrr), and a few other family issues.

I had been following along, but just lurking until I could catch up from 200 pages back at one point. Drops and drops make oceans, and now I’ve fibally caught up! Felt like I was living a few days behind everyone else each time I made attempts to catch up...”oh that deal!...5 days ago...” lol.

I fell behind here, but was very much active with CCs and GCs. We had a small wedding, but it still put a nice dent in MSRs and category bonuses (I.e. Thanks Amex for the 4x MR on my Cap Grille bill and the extra +1 MR AND 10% back (capped at $100, but still :D)!)

I got a retention on my Brilliant (20k Marriott points for $2k), then downgraded the card recently. I tried to double dip the $300 credit a la @Lain, but the Courtyard I got my GC at previously no longer had them, and time was ticking as far as my pro-rata AF. I did use up $60 during a recent Philly trip, so got a little value out of it. And, used the TSA credit for mom before downgrading.

Should be time for a retention call for my Rose gold, but that is a keeper regardless. Trying to maximize GC deals this month before a January runDisney trip with mom! It’s her first trip since we were kids! Have also been scooping up restaurant GC deals like @wendow since I know we will use them at the point. But, the wallet is def feeling lighter these last 4 months...

Congrats on your wedding!! Lots of weddings here lately!

On a separate note, for those who venture to Vegas. We did a trip for Dad back in September and I took advantage of the Chase Luxury Resort and Hotel offer at the Bellagio. After running the math, it was a slightly better deal than Amex FHR.

For those curious, the daily breakfast credit (up to two $30 per day) can be used for any food or beverage at the hotel. They simply deduct $60 daily from your portfolio. And, it’s not restricted to being daily either. It was effectively another $180 food and beverage credit for us on top of the one time $100. It deducted $120 from our Bellagio buffet meal, as an example.
