I think other posters have more experience with this than I do, but I'll share what I've done in first/biz to LHR. AA in first is in a 1-2-1 config (or it was on the plane we flew). BA in J class on the big A380 was 2-4-2, so you could get 3 seats together in the middle, but know that the 2 in the middle 4 will face one way and the 2 on the aisle will face the other (it's really weird). We did have a Mom sitting in those middle seats with a baby and a small child and when lowered it made a pretty big "bed" for them to all sleep.

I'd check really carefully (you tube videos of plane configs are great for this) because many planes we don't make it easy to take care of a child. The seats on some (AF comes to mind) are just far apart and you wouldn't be anywhere near the baby, which is probably why we never see little kids on those flights. The only time DD was a "lap baby" was when we were on a first class flight that wouldn't work with her in her own seat since she was 12 mos old and still needed a lot of care and attention.

I hope this helps a bit.

Glad you made a decision and I'm looking forward to hearing more about it! :goodvibes
Hmm that makes things kind of hard. The 2-4-2 would work great if my parents go with because one of them could sit across and one could join us in the middle. Otherwise I think that would be awkward with a stranger and I wouldn’t want to sleep with some random person right next to me and the baby. The 1-2-1 could work but isn’t ideal. I’d rather our baby have a seat to itself just for safety. I forgot to include in my post what we could expect as far as points per person

Referring a spouse doesn't count as self-referral for Amex, right? Even if I am an AU on one of his Amex cards? (I am.not referring him from the AU card).

It was very odd, Amex wouldn't let me refer DH with his regular email address (tried 2x) but accepted his backup email.

He applied and got instant approval, but bow I worry I may anger Amex.

As @SouthFayetteFan already answered, cross supports between P1 and P2 is ok. As for generating the support link, you don’t need to have Amex send it to DH’s email. You can generate just the link, copy and paste it in an email, text, social media etc. Just delete the message before the url to get the actual supportal link. I’d also recommend opening the support link in an incognito window because sometimes that’ll pull up a higher incognito offer for the applicant and you’d still get the supportal bonus. (Always be aware of the different permutations of Amex SUBs so you know you’re signing up for the best one, especially since Amex SUBs are generally once per lifetime.)

Here is my take on Frozen 2
We saw it today. I agree with your take as well. The music in the first was much better to me but how much I loved Kristoff's song :lovestruc That was great!! Overall, I like the first one better. There are elements to this one I don't care much for. Definitely figured out the story line way early too. There is more to process and I need to see it again as well.

It's interesting as my teens both felt this one wrapped up the story completely and say they can't see Disney making a 3rd. I'm like, "oh no, door was opened up wide for a 3rd one". Both say there is nothing left undone. But I felt that way after Toy Story 3 and yet, here we are.

I said the same thing driving home! I was content with TS3, and here we are.

That’s super frustrating. I’m not sure what we’re gonna decide. It’s almost like we should just drive home after lol. I hate driving in the dark though. The highway we take is somewhat wooded and people have hit deer on it. We’ll at least do the one night with Hilton points after MVMCP most likely at bonnet creek then we might just need to use chase points and find somewhere without resort fees

Is there a Hyatt House or Hyatt Place nearby? URs transfer to Hyatt 1:1, Hyatt’s award chart is reasonable, and Hyatt doesn’t charge resort fees for award bookings.

We only have a personal Gold (DH) and An Aspire (me). I am 4/24 and don;t want to get another personal (I have plans for that last spot), but am open to getting a Bus Gold.

You know when we talk about the cards we regret not getting? I regret not following your advice in Aug and having DH refer me to a bus card from his Plat bus...
Honestly I regretted opening the business gold. It just wasn’t a useful card to me. I chose the gas credits and between the Freedom categories, gas points at the grocery store and Amex offers I just never utilized it. I think the fee is way too high for what it offers. I found more value in getting the biz plat 100k call in offer

I’ll raise you one Scrooge McDuck!

LOL I just happen to be looking at a Target ad right now. What about this? Heinz? Doesn't sound as fancy, but looks ready to serve. It even says "homestyle" 🤣

HAHAHA because that was literally going to be what I tried next except a family member told me @orangecuse method of placing can in garbage is exactly how this one ends up 🤣

(Unfortunately said family member hasn’t found a good one yet either [can you tell cooking isn’t my family’s past time? :D ] )

I can see your point. I think you’re referring to the old BGR? I also chose gas for my 3x MR category. Most months I’ll have $100 or less in charges on this card, all gas. You’re right with the Freedom’s 5x UR categories overlapping so much with gas throughout the year, gas spend gets split or diverted. I have a 10% back at Exxon offer on my BGR, and that’s a pretty good deal so it’s seeing more use. I’m still splitting my gas spend with the Freedom for Chase Pay at Shell where Exxon isn’t nearby.

The refreshed Biz Gold earns 4x automatically on spend in whichever 2 included categories you spent the most on that month. I think that helps to make it more useful day-to-day. But I still think the value of this card is in its 20-25k MR supportals vs. 4x MR bonus spend.

I have REALLY been enjoying “The Imagineering Story” on Disney+. It is captivating and phenomenal...so I start this comment by wholeheartedly recommending that!

Tonight I was looking for something to watch and I stumbled on “Waking Sleeping Beauty”. It was a very interesting documentary on Disney animation in the 80’s and 90’s. It just happened to fit perfectly in the timeline after watching the 3rd episode of “The Imagineering Story”. So for anybody watching that each week, perhaps while you wait for the next episode you might mix this one in this week. 😊

also...I LOVE Disney+!!

"Waking Sleepy Beauty..." is that about you after nap time? :rotfl:

In all seriousness, thanks for the recommendation! I love the original content talking about the parks/history of Disney! Imagineering Story has been great. I can't wait for "One Day at Disney" to start on 12/3!

We're loving "The Imagineering Story" as well! I'll have to check out the "Waking Sleeping Beauty" show. We should have some time this week to watch more since all our evenings will be free thanks to Thanksgiving break.

Hoping to watch more of the "Mandalorian" but I was just kind of meh after the first episode. I know I'm supposed to be gobsmacked by it so hoping the next one is better.

I'm so excited for "One Day at Disney"!!! I guess my dd says a lot of the CM's are upset with the show because they are only focusing on 'high profile' roles but I'm sure if it is successful, we will see Disney showing all sorts of CM's in their roles.

This documentary basically covered what the Animation Dept went through during this period. Perhaps due to my age this was especially of interest. It covered Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King. That’s basically my whole childhood right there!!!

Hmmm I could understand that. I hope they follow-through and add more roles like you mention. I would love to see resort concierge! That is what I always wish I could do if I went back and did the DCP! 🤣
