So . . . just got an email that Hulu w/ Live TV is increasing its price by $10/month starting December 18. For Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV it will be $60.99 and just Hulu + Live TV will be $54.99.

I was already starting to question how much we really need the Live TV portion - we'd lose a few shows - and honestly have been keeping it more for some shows my wife watches that we wouldn't get with Hulu on its own. I was just texting my wife and I think we're going to drop the Live TV portion - can pick up CBS All Access now and then for a couple of their shows my wife watches. It's just interesting this is coming out now right after Disney+ comes out - almost like we now have an even better excuse to drop Hulu Live TV.

Edit: It's also a bit annoying because one of the reasons we didn't wait and go the bundle route for D+ was because we had the Hulu w/ Live TV.

This is frustrating. We're looking into alternatives, including just dropping the Live TV portion. They make it so difficult to figure out what you will get w/ Hulu basic though. Guess we might have to try it out and see. Youtube TV might be our next best option though. We just have to get through football season and then we can just cancel all of it. I'm sure I can find a way to watch Young Sheldon without Hulu+. Maybe just pay for CBS All Access for the last couple months of the season or something. It's really the only thing we watch outside of football (other than Netflix/Prime Video/Disney+). We cut Dish Network to save money and be done with contracts. Turns out, the only thing we have accomplished is the being done with contracts part!

What makes you think you are done with contracts? Witness the way D+ locked in a ton of people for 3 years. Expect that to become the norm. You may choose not to be locked in, but it will cost you more.

My current first world problem, the kids are on the good TV so I need to wait until they go to bed to watch the 2nd episode of Imagineering if I don’t want to watch on an iPad.

P.S. There was no new Pixar in Real Life today was there?

If you go into the help menu, there is a give feedback option where you can suggest features or even movies/shows. I suggest asking for the restart button(although my Roku had the option) and also a previously watched section.

True, but at least it doesn't come with equipment I have to lease or return when we leave the service. And yes, we did sign up for the 3 years. I also do Amazon Prime on an annual basis. Time will tell if I continue to pay for D+ annually or monthly. All depends on the state of things when my 3 years are up. :)

Anyone else a little peeved that the shorts aren't lumped into one 'series'? For example, each Forky Asks A Question short is separate as opposed to being considered 'episodes' in a series. It's obviously easy to navigate to each one, but it'd be much easier to just access the 'show' and then go to the episodes from there.

Okay, just watched second episode of The Mandalorian.

So good. So good. It almost felt like I was watching the original trilogy again. And without spoilers, I'm just positively melting over a certain character. 😍 😍 😍 And I'm ready to buy it!!! Bring on the merchandise!!! :p

This show, we were saying in my home, this will bring more people to Galaxy's Edge. It feels like Galaxy's edge looks.

I watched the 2 imagineering episodes and enjoyed. However, not all that impressed with Disney+. In Canada so always possible our content and offerings less than in the US. But after searching through the channel, maybe only 30 movies available and most I have seen in theater or on Netflix in the past few years. Think I was hoping that the vaults would be opened and I would see many gems from the 50s through the 80s. No such luck. I tried to watch the new Goldblum series but the sneaker industry is not my cup of tea. Sure there will be other topics in the future but a strange one for an introductory hook launch. Nat Geo is fine but I can watch Dr. Pol and a hundred plus reality tv vet shows on satellite or elsewhere. It's 9$ here a month and think I will just let the clock run out and not renew. Very happy I didn't subscribe for a year. Perhaps I'd feel very different if I had toddlers who hadn't seen much Disney. But as an adult, there just isn't as much there as I had hoped. Think I'll wait for a few months until the late Spring to see if more and better content. Just my first impressions. Hoping others are finding more and better to make Disney+ worthwhile for their families.

Based on what I’ve seen it seems Canada does have some different offerings.

As a show guy myself I was intrigued by the sneaker episode but it was just okay IMO. Sneakers are a big deal though as in the episode they discuss $100K shoes.

The major things I’ve noticed are missing from the Canadian service are older Disneyland specials and Mickey Mouse Club. From what I’ve seen we actually have more content than in the US in certain areas. There are things that apparently show up as coming in 2020 that we already have, obviously I can’t personally verify that though.

I agree the older stuff is a bit of a let down, especially the TV series, just wanted to make sure you’re seeing everything though because there are a good number of the older Disney films on there. The search function has an option to view movies or series a-z, I’ve found things there I didn’t notice in any other category.

How are you searching? I'm seeing hundreds of movies including older stuff.

Mostly just scrolling through the titles under 'Disney' but also specifically searching for well known 60s titles like 'Thomasina', "Scarecrow of Romney Marsh' and others that just aren't there. Possible there is a big difference betw US offerings and international content?

I'm also in Canada. Click on Search, then Movies, then sort A-Z. Same for Series.

I am as well.

Darby O’Gill and the Little People? Now there’s a childhood throwback.

Oh, also from Canada. 🇨🇦

We just watched it as well and very much enjoyed it - not happy about having to wait a week for another! ;)

Only thing I didn't like was the Jawas reminded me of Minions a bit too much
