Buzz Lightyear?????

We are taking my 5 year old DS who LOVES Buzz Lightyear. Does anybody know where we might be able to find him. I wish there was a character meal for boys like they have the princesses for the girls.

I know wishful thinking, but if my son actually got to meet Buzz I think that he would just die!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

We have seen Buzz in front of his ride in Tomorrowland and at Al's Toy Barn in MGM.
He always gets a big crowd, so you might want to ask at Guest Services about the schedule so you can plan accordingly. I don't think you'll have any problems finding him. Good luck!

We have seen him both times with Woody and sometimes Jesse in front of Als toy barn. I have read often that he is near his ride at MK, but we have never seen him there.

I saw him not long after opening near the Guest Relations building at Epcot, along with Woody and Jessie.

In March he was standing in MK where Fantasyland and Tomorrowland meet by the Teascups.

Natually he was on the tomorrowland Side.

He was posing for pictures and using a Stamp to sign his name.

I could have sworn we saw him outside of Cosmic Ray's last trip as we were on the Family Magic Tour. Only remember it because we hadn't seen him yet and our DDs were hopping up and down (literally) for the tour as we passed him!

We were wandering around MGM, looking for a place to eat and finally went into Pizza Planet just because we figured we would get served quickly. (DH and I were hoping for a "nicer" place to eat.) When we went in, there were very few people and Buzz was playing air hockey with some kids. Woody and Jessie were also there. It was great. This was at dinner time. It was a great unexpected surprise. One of those "meant to be" moments. And the food was good too!

2 Saturdays ago we got to MK for opening and went right to the Buzz Lightyear ride. After we exited the first time(we rode it twice) a CM was sort of directing us to the right, over toward the theater. I couldnt figure out why and we went the other way, back on Buzz again. When we exited the 2nd time we saw Buzz was standing there for a meet & greet and there was no line to see him. It was perfect!

We've seen him a few times outside the theatre near the exit to his ride in MK.

I think this meeting place is actually marked on the MK map along with times he'll be there.

This post is slightly off from your question, but if you haven't considered it before, you must take your son on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.

Assuming you haven't heard of it, it is the equivalent of a futuristic shooting gallery starring Buzz. You get into a car that is very reminiscent of the Doom Buggys in HM except without the tall backs. You go through several rooms with different scenes and you must shoot "lasers" at Zurg and his evil minions to rescue the power cells (batteries).

The ride is a favorite of my wife and myself. We ride it multiple times every time we visit Magic Kingdom and I always win. I can say that because she doesn't frequent these boards....mwahahahaha. I just thought that if he loves Buzz and if you didn't know about the ride, it was a moral imperative that I inform you before your trip.
