I've managed to get a couple of movies to start up on the website. Thankful for being my own boss or I may have to apologize to someone for my lack of productivity today. Can't watch original content until I get home and watch with the family but I think maybe a Star Wars marathon is in order.

I finally got something to load, The Lion King, but that's all so far. I have to actually start working now so I was going to just add a couple of things to my Watchlist for later but it couldn't do that either. We'll try again tonight.

App has been flawless for me on various Apple TV and iOS devices. Website is a hot mess on any browser.

I appreciate that despite having it’s own profile system, it fully supports ATV accounts, I can just go ahead and ignore D+ profiles since my family are all in the Apple ecosystem. Another reason to kick Netflix to the curb.

You get the full Disney experience with this app. An immense catalog of Disney goodness combined with the Disney IT experience that we all know and love so well.

It works.

I assume those of us who have thoroughly enjoyed the Disney IT web experience over the years can find some humor in the current situation.

Disney really just needs to fire their entire IT department and start from scratch. It's ridiculous that a company of their size cannot get this figured out, across any of their products.

I was in same boat where new ones wouldn’t load. I started Imagineering and then paused and went to Mandalorian, then Forky, etc. I definitely think the system is overloaded. So if in on old one, pause and then try a new one. Don’t know if I was just lucky but it seems once you are in then your ok but may need to get in first with something old. I assume this is a Day 1 overload issue.

Idk. This is how high demand services go. Everyone tries to get in/on at once, capacity peaks and then is exceeded, and the system goes down. Purchasing coveted sports or concert tickets goes the same way. I’m not surprised at all and I don’t think this is unique to Disney or it’s IT department. It will get better over the next couple days as demand spreads out through the day and as technological gremlins are worked out.

Anyone find the app on samsung tv? I was able to get it using playstation4 but was hoping to get in on the tv in the kitchen. I tried searching through all the apps and it doesn't come up. I read some people found it on samsung just wondering how they did. Thanks!

Was able to download and install on my Ipad and Apple TV and activate at 2:30AM EST and the system had no issues when I showed my wife the server was no longer responding but a few minutes later it was available but not all shows were listed must just be the shear demand on the first day.

The service is like a couple of hours old - a few hiccups is understandable. I'm sure they didn't expect a billion people to start streaming The Mandalorian at 5 AM. I mean, nerds, right? ;) It'll all smooth out.

but that was my point in my other comment - why dont' they expect this? They see this all the time that peopole get super excited and invested in Disney products and offerings and then they are surprised when they can't match the demand

How old is your Samsung TV? Ours is from 2015, and I couldn't find the app on there. I did read that the app may only be available on Samsung Smart TV's manufactured from 2016 to present. Thankfully, the 2 TV's we use most often have Roku and Amazon Fire Stick, so we are good to go.

I mean, it may be that for 364 days this year, they don’t need to meet the demand of a billion people streaming Mandalorean at 5:00 AM, so they didn’t build the system that way. It’s just this one day where there will be extraordinarily high demand when everything is new and everyone tries to get on at the exact same moment. It wouldn’t make fiscal sense to overbuild a system to meet a level of demand that will immediately taper offend then level.
