Anyone done the BBVA Compass bank bonus? I think DoC posted about it earlier today. There's one vague DP about Ally working for DD, but didn't know if anyone else had done it. I have Ally, Discover, and Fidelity that I could push from.

I did it last year with a legit DD and they paid out after 90 days.

...which I now realize is not what you're asking...

Anyway, be aware the terms state you must keep the account open for 1 year or you forfeit the bonus. I kept $25 in checking and $100 in savings and, with paper statements turned off, it only required a cursory glance here and there.
 
I have heard people talk about having a free night certificate extended. Does anyone know if this is possible with IHG? I have one that is good until 7/2020, but DH's expires 4/2020. I would love to use these for a trip up to Traverse City for Memorial Day. When I log in, it is giving me the option to book a night using DH's certificate. Does this mean it will extend it or do I have to call after I book?

ETA: It gave me an error when I actually hit reserve.
I don't recall seeing any DPs of successfully extending IHG certs. And, as you found out, they are enforcing the "stay by" terms and you can't book past the expiration month. As of earlier this year there was leeway with the exact expiration date, like if it expired 4/2/20 you could book for 4/12/20 still but not as far out as 5/2. Can't hurt much to call but with this far out from expiration I'm not expecting a positive outcome. Always happy to be wrong though!

Having this issue as well. Did the same uninstall then reinstall the app and still nothing.



I noticed when I clicked to add an offer it did keybank new offer appear. So I figured if I'm going to use those offers I just write the detail of it down in case I can't pull it up again. But definitely would just rather have a resolution for this.
I got that to work just once on only one card, and now I just have 3 added offers showing, even though it says I have 8-10 available.

I'm going to try to find my iPad and download the iOS app since I think that is working better than the Android app. I thought about asking hubby last night to check his Chase app on the iPhone but I was getting the "this better not be about a CC" look and decided to pull an Elsa and live another day.
 
I'm trying to select my airline for the $250 airline fee credit on my Hilton Aspire and it keeps giving me a page load error. Has anyone else who jumped on the $0 annual fee aspire been able to choose their airline? I'm hoping the website is just having an issue...
I have only confirmed my card so far. I have done anything with the perks.
 


I thought there was a Ticketmaster Amex Offer. Did I dream that or was it a Chase offer? I have googled it and didn't find anything and have checked a few cards. Does anyone else remember this??
There's a Stub Hub Chase offer. I have a Telecharge (Broadway tickets) AmEx offer. I'm not finding Ticketmaster as a regular card offer like that. There was a sign up bonus offer on a couple AmEx cards that gave a Ticketmaster credit a few months ago. That's all I can think of.

Thanks! I will have to check out the Telecharge offer since I just found out my DH has to be in NY during December. I finally realized it was a Delta offer for 5x points if purchased by 10/25/19.
 
Thank you for helping me think through this. Your questions made me stop and think about what my goals are currently. Yes, I was trying to avoid the AF on the CSP at this time b/c I wasn't ready to use the UR for travel in the next few months. At that time, I want to use the CSR, rather than the CSP for greater value of the UR. The long term plan then would be to keep the CSR. I guess I was just trying to delay the AF. @SouthFayetteFan @palhockeymomof2 also mentioned the DD on the CSR travel credit so I've been convinced that's the way to go.

We do have a CIP and have transferred our UR to partners but only once. Rookies at best.

Don’t forget your CIP URs can be transferred to your other cards.
Also you can upgrade and downgrade cards ie CSR, CSP, CFU, etc. DH had CSR, downgraded to CFU after triple dipping the travel credit (no longer possible) Then we upgraded his CSP to CSR when we needed it (booked cruise excursions thru UR portal) and used the TC last year. TC just reset in October, so I used it again and as soon as the AF posts, I will have DH call to PC to CF. Then I will upgrade my CF to CSR and use the TC. Between DH and I, we have CF, CFU, CSR, CIP, CIC and CIU. We pool all those URs on CSR now (will transfer to CIP before we PC the CSR)
We received a mistaken extra shipment on an online order just a few days ago. DD and I ordered her basketball shoes from Dicks Sporting Goods online and we were sent two pair. I still haven’t taken the time to figure out what to do about it. I need to check if both boxes have receipts/invoices.
I received 2 pair of Mickey gym shoes by mistake last spring, no way to return one. A few weeks ago, I ordered DS a long sleeve T-shirt from his fave soccer club (in England). They shipped me a men’s extra large track jacket by mistake. Told me to keep the track jacket (£50 vs £10) and sent me another shirt. Guess what DH is getting for Christmas?
I have one tween and one teen boy. Neither of them care about brands. They're just all about comfort and live in athletic clothes. No jeans or anything with buttons. :D
Good to know DS is not the only one. He refuses to wear pants with zippers or buttons. His Halloween costume had a button and he had to practice buttoning it before wearing it. 🙄. He really only cares about the graphics on his shirts, takes effort to get a plain shirt on him. As for pants/shorts, he wouldn’t even be able to tell you a brand. He’d shrug and say we bought them at Target or Kohl’s or mom got them online.
 
No, it is not the same. You can transfer UR to SW 1:1. The 1.25 multiplier only comes in if you book through the Chase travel portal. However SW points are worth approximately 1.5 cpp. So you are better off transferring to SW 1:1 and using your points directly on SW. Hope that makes sense.
Mostly, thank you! So taking that into consideration it is better to use my SW card and earn the 25% bonus points especially since I have the $6K offer. I understand what you said except the part where you said SW are worth approximately 1.5 cpp. What does that mean?
 
Does anyone have T-Mobile? Wondering if they are any good.
You can request a Test Drive free trial to try out before you switch. That way you'll know how your coverage is. You connect the hotspot to your phone and your phone basically runs on the TMobile network while it's connected to it.

Something to look into if you're interested in switching, since the biggest downside to TMobile is their coverage areas. If you're in good areas no one I know has any problems and love them. If you are on an edge or travel into poor coverage a lot, it's gets useless real fast and almost everyone with those problems switched (others are glutton for punishment I guess :confused3)
 
OK I have a problem with an order return from Target. I'm wondering what to do next- SO I got my Kitchenaid mixer (woohoo deal!) online order, and I mistakenly thought a part was missing. So I online chatted, and rep started the return process,and initiated a new mixer to be shipped to me. All of this took a while,and literally before I ended the chat, I had located the part (that wasn't really missing) and I told rep never mind,etc. She said it was all in motion now, but no worries, I could bring the unopened new item back to any target store.
In all of this I used my Target debit card. So I can see the original order pulled from my bank account. Today I tried to return item at the store,I had the new invoice slip that came with item. Manager said they had no idea what to do with this,or how to return it,since it only shows as one purchase on my account. (purchase date Oct. 29)
I'm thinking maybe try calling at some point when I have the time? Possiby trying to return to store again,and bring BOTH Invoices? In writing this out,I'm thinking maybe I should have just brought it to store with the original invoice and returned (?) but I don't need my money back..... do you see my conundrum here? any ideas?

Id wait to see if a charge shows up at the 30 day mark (this language sometimes exists when you are given credit for an item/ sent a replacement before returning the original). If it does return the new one with the new invoice. I know its probably at a less convenient time, closer to Christmas, but I feel like you may be beating your head against the wall if you try to get Target to resolve this. Ive had similar instances where Ive gotten something I should not have and its usually horrible trying to right the situation so Id probably hold my horses for the next 4 weeks and hope they give me an easy solution. Sorry.
 
It feels like it's been a LONG time since Raise had a good promo and/or good % back on TCB... I guess that's a good thing for me since I'm waiting on my next card and have very limited MSR left... But I hope something good is coming in the next few weeks, especially with Black Friday around the corner (meaning perhaps that will spark something good). I'm hoping for the deal to buy some Disney GCs to payoff our January trip!
 
PSA: The support bonus from the Biz Gold/BGR has increased to 25,000 MR (regularly 20,000 MR). Meanwhile, the SUB for the Biz Gold has increased from 50k MR/$5k MSR, to a tiered 50k MR/$5k MSR and another 25k MR after an additional $5k MSR in the same 3 months (so, 75k MR for $10k MSR in 3 months).

I have some URs I plan to use for Universal tickets for this spring. I’ve tried searching and even messaging Universal but I can’t find much information about what happens after you buy the tickets. Are they held at will call? What if I don’t pick them up the day that I indicate on the UR portal? We want 3 day tickets and know we’ll be there for sure on Sunday and Monday but would also like the option to head over for an evening earlier in the week if we feel like it. Do I just make the date for the earliest we might be there? If we end up not showing on that date will we have a problem getting the tickets at a later date? TIA!

Just so you are aware, typically I will send people a PM to join DISchurners but you need to have made 10 messages on the DIS to PM (and then wait an hour or 2 after that)...
