Many of my patients are Fry’s employees, which is the Kroger store in AZ. I’m going to ask them about their gift card policy. Of course I WILL NOT mention anything discussed here, but I’ll play dumb and see if the cashiers have been given any guidelines regarding gift card purchases, and do they even care? Haha! Most of my Fry’s employees are so burnt out they don’t care. I’ll see if I can get any insider info 😉

I hope you get Palo brunch. I’m under the impression even if you’re waitlisted you can probably get in if you’re flexible with times. But it’s been a while since I cruised.

Being a Hygienist has been a phenomenal career for me. I tell all the young girls graduating to go for it. Going on to Dental school is also a great option. I hope it works out for her ☺
We got to the desk around 1:30 pm and they had times left for a brunch!!! We are eating tomorrow at 12 and we’re so excited! We’re gonna cancel our dinner

We’re at the port waiting for our boarding group to be called. We got 26 and they’re at 19 right now. I don’t have high hopes to get a Palo brunch but that’s okay. We signed up for the castaway cay 5k! I haven’t decided if I’ll walk or run it. We got a picture with Mickey too.
aaaaahhhhH! I am so excited for you!!! And jealous. Have a blast!

**DISchurners NOTICE**
I'd like to remind everyone to take a run through their support links on DISchurners, checking what's live and what isn't. I went through our Chase thread today and sent some people messages on Reddit who had expired links or links that were erroring out. In all instances where links errored out others had links that worked for the same card so hopefully you can generate a fresh one that works if that happened to you.

You should have it. Medical evacuation is incredibly expensive. Did you put any of the cruise on CSR?

ETA: Looks like you needed to add it yesterday so there's probably nothing you can do. Enjoy your trip. I didn't have it (or passports) for my first cruise.
I just started my new job and one of the benefits is free medical evacuations from anywhere in the world except N Korea.....for free!! As long as you are 150+ miles from home they will send a plane for you. Whhaattt?? No one else in the room seemed to care about this except me. :confused3

Yay, have an awesome time! We are disembarking from NCL Bliss tomorrow.....kinda sad but we have 3 1/2 days of Disneyland still to do. It's always best for dh to have something to look forward to or else he is so depressed having to leave the ship. Me, I would rather have the land vaca first and the cruise after to relax, but I'm willing to compromise! Lol

I am trying to send money to family via PayPal or Venmo. I usually send from checking account but would rather use a credit card this time. I am ok with the 3% fee to use the card, but PayPal said something about it being a cash advance. I certainly do NOT want to pay cash advance fees.

Has anyone used a card recently to send money (not purchase) through PayPal or Venmo that can confirm whether or not it codes as a cash advance? Does it matter what card is used? I have Amex and Barclay cards, but I'd rather get points on the CSR or one of our Southwest Priority or Performance Biz cards.
I haven't but I've seen reports of them indeed coding as cash advance for Chase so if PayPal warns you that could happen I would definitely not do it. It's a recent change in the last couple week :(

sent money 10/31, it codes as purchase for me. did not get the cash advanced notice on paypal. (Chase Freedom)

My husband (definitely a techie/geek) is always hounding me to update to the latest iOS (or any other operating system) because he says if you wait too long, eventually it will mess everything up when you try. I am the kind of person who hates change so I used to always avoid it but since I met him I begrudgingly do all the **** updates.

Yes, I'm sure this update would have gone better if I had done previous updates. On the other hand, I have had things go wrong from routine updates--a year or so ago, a routine Windows update messed up the computer's ability to recognize wifi and we had to reset the computer to an earlier date.

I used Venmo this week with my CIP and it coded as Office and Shipping. I didn’t reduce the cash advance limit.

October summary
Approved for CIP and halfway through spend
Redeemed 141,000 AA miles (most from Barclay and Citi) for 6 Econ tickets to NYC as a Christmas gift for the family.

November goals
Finish CIP spend
Use my Serve card for the first time
Apply for an AmEx Gold ( Groceries!!!)
Apply my husband for an AmEx and see if he’s on their good side again.

Just a churning whine- every single issuer only pulls TU for me. Its now 30 points lower than the other 2. I know its NBD and it’ll bounce back up, but its annoying me. Not planning another non-Amex app until spring so hopefully Amex will not pull next time and it gets a long rest. Stupid TU haha

When we pulled up and saw the ship it really hit us. We have never been to a port before.
I felt that way when we saw the ship in Vancouver. It was a great trip. I’m not a warm weather/beach person so I doubt we’ll do a Caribbean cruise but I’d do other destinations if I could afford it.
Definitely SF If you aren’t doing a deluxe. We’ll just miss it since we’ll there beginning on 3/12 before our RCCL cruise. Wait, I just realized your DS’s birthday must be right around my DS’s. Is your DS turning 13 also?
DS turns 11 on 3/12.
Looking thru the Chase portal, I can get a club level room at Hard Rock for around 36k Points. It’s a splurge but is the Hard Rock pool good enough to spend the day because we would only do the party Friday night then pool time Saturday, leave Sunday?

The HRH CL is awesome!!!! I would definitely go for it! The pool is fun and club is nice! My DS will be 13 on 3/13.

My daughter wants to be a dental hygienist. Right now her plan is to move to NJ (we live in MI) and work for her uncle (he's a dentist). We'll see what happens. She's also thought of maybe starting and then putting herself through to become a dentist or orthodontist.
My friend is a hygienist working at the dental school at University of Illinois Chicago. After hygiene school she got a BS and MS and is now Executive Director

Is there enough food CL to skip breakfast and maybe lunch? We could eat dinner at CityWalk and not have to pay for much else.
